Tonight the mix is witch house electro punk. I will attempt to write a blog with out talking about my guitar, painting, ableton Live, whatever else I talk about endlessly on here. Oh, the novel too...

So, I needed a new battery for my car and they fixed the air conditioning. Not cheap. But they wanted to replace all the tires and the brakes. Yikes. It's official, I badly need employment now. I looked at hundreds of effective altruism jobs and I think I won't do that again. Pretty big waste of time. I should just bite the bullet and work for Target or something like that and I know it will be bad but I can pay for these brakes and tires and eventually buy a bike, and some guitar pedals (oops), some new clothes that aren't raggedy and/or do not have holes in them. Bike-wise I don't need anything crazy. I am going to try to find a single speed on craigslist when I have the money. Biking around the neighborhood is pretty flat. I live in low-country swamps and marshes. It is not hilly at all. Biggest hill on the island is the connector to the beach. I won't go on about guitar pedals but my next one will be a simple delay pedal. I'll let my guitar teacher pick it out he has some hookups. I also think Loco was slightly off on the amp I got. Yeah, it has a lot of effects that come with the amp but they aren't as good as just getting a peddle. That goes for overdrive, distortion, reverb, delay, tremolo, etc. He was definitely right on it being stupid to get a wah pedal. My wah pedal (Crybaby) is way better than my amp wah but I simply never use it and basically never will use it except for like novelty bull shit.

Anyways, I look forward to having some money to buy new clothes. Like I said though my go to spot Bread and Boxers does not sell to the USA anymore meaning I have to find a new t-shirt, boxer briefs, socks, etc. A sock I am wearing right now has a hole in it and that is not great. No one really reads this blog and not this far in so I won't ask for suggestions but if anyone has read this far I would like suggestions.

I looked through hundreds of effective altruism job postings today. I was curious. It was mostly a waste of time. I would have to be based in Washington DC, NYC, or San Fran and I don't think I am really qualified for most of the remote positions. There was one that caught my eye about s-risks and minimizing suffering in general. I might apply to that one. There was a posting about shrimp in SE Asia. I was like shrimp really? But they do have a point it's billions of shrimp suffering. I just don't think that really compares to s-risks. I also found a local non-profit I am probably going to look into but they aren't hiring anyone at this time. So, there is some excitment that I could be working on suffering or a non-profit. It seems better than working at Target. I don't really know though. Perceptions are a mother fucker.

I am playing this game called Journey (2012). It's pretty good so far. Good music and aesthetic.

So, Journey took less than 2 hours to beat but man, such a beautiful game.

I think I am going to do Alan Wake 2 next but I am not sure yet.

I just started Alan Wake 2 but it's a fucking trip.

You should get into MMA -- at least the UFC.

It's a fun hobby, and you can make some good money if you are patient.

I am into Alan Wake 2. About 4 hours into the game and enjoying it.

4 hours training MMA is >>> than 4 hours playing a video game most likely but I am old. BJJ especially you just get dinged up a bunch it's hard to keep going and I think it's even harder to break through into not getting destroyed by blue belts all the time. That's what the advanced lessons were like. I didn't even have a chance against a good blue belt. No major injuries but it's like how much time off do you take for a sprained thumb or pulled groin, stuff like that and at 30+ now 40+ it's even worse. I have a lot of respect for purple, brown, black belts.

MMA training no good anymore. I'm too old. I do a program called Westside for washed up meatheads. It may not get as good of gains as Greyskull but imo it's better suited for me. I'm not looking to hustle anyone anymore and I don't want anything to do with China so I will not learn Mandarin. It looks like it is hard to teach an old dog new tricks. I need some sort of attitude adjustment just so I can get some income going. The situation feels to be getting dire.

My bad, I meant betting on MMA, not training.

Although, training MMA would be good, even if you don't plan to be a pro fighter. You will be able to state in good shape, and also meet many new people who could potentially turn into good friends, which might help you with your self-isolation problem.

I'm sure recruiters will be lining up to offer the six fig salary when they see hustler university on the cv haha.

Lol I was hoping rikd be his own boss cause he’s a smart guy. I ain’t asking him to work for someone n also it’s a good way of life to join a community like that

I don't really follow UFC anymore. I am kind of out of it. Beating the vig would likely take too much work for not enough pay out.

I'd be happy with $40,000 to be honest. It doesen't go along way but that number is a decent enough number if the work isn't too soul crushing. I have some car stuff I need to take care of, I'd like a bicycle, some guitar pedals, maybe a Fender Stratocaster (Mexican) or like a PRS SE Silver Sky Rosewood (China). There are actually a lot of Neo-Strats I could potentially go with.

I don't think my goal is to be my own boss anymore. That can actually be a shit ton of work. Poker I was my own boss and that is a little different than most entreprenurial endeavors I think? I could outsource most things and that was smart. Travelling is cool but I think I played my best poker in a quiet, isolated desktop / monitor setup. It sucks not having friends near by though.

I've been kind of beaten into submission that I need 40 hrs / week of something not too soul crushing. I don't even want to be a manager. Just let me clock in and clock out and be done with it.

I don't want to hustle. Whether that be moving fast or hustling friends at bowling. I want to move slow / andante.
