I just tried, but I guess YouTube Shorts don't embed the same way regular YouTube videos do. It must be because Shorts were invented much later than when LP was designed, so Meat would need to add a quick script for Shorts to work on this website. At least this is my guess.

That prime minister gave a very good answer there. That still doesn't mean we should include climate change activism into wokeness. There are limits to growth as simple as that. We are in a lot of trouble.

Locally, there is an island just near me with the coast jammed with multi-million dollar beachfront properties. The tide keeps encroaching and erodes all the sand away. These idiots kept rebuilding their steps only to get destroyed the next day. Some housing is still in new developments. It's crazy. One guy built a concrete wall that is against the law. I think it actually works to some degree but his neighbors were getting more owned. No one knows what to do. The contractors are not guaranteenig that a wall will work. All it will take is one hurricane or higher than normal tide and the homeowner's will be in a lot of trouble. Luckily, most of these people have too much money syndrom and will end up ok. Most people are not as lucky.

The definition of woke started off as racial issues and it's expanded to encompass almost everything now. But if it's supposed to be identity issues then climate change is not it. For one thing, poor people care way more about it than rich liberals do. The vast majority of the effects of climate change are felt in poor countries. And there are just far more environmentalists in thr global South. It's not hard to see why when you see that those nations are the ones being plundered. A lot of the effects of climate change being felt in the global south is pure coincidence and some is structural. It's more of a class issue or economic issue at this point and has been since the science was settled in the 1990s.

So climate change is very much a poor person's problem. Longple and Drone will have some health benefits from climate change actually. Nordic countries lucking out once again.

It's important to find a meaningful life outside of caring about politics 24 7 obviously. The destabilization of the climate will play out over thousands of years, not 10. It will just get gradually worse over time. I can't really see civilization functioning at 3 or higher degrees. We are on track for 2.7 by 2100.

ExxonMobil started making their oil rigs higher up from sea level to account for this very early on iirc.
