Actually there are 2 ways of seeing a 3D pic. Tried to mspaint it hope it helps...
The right one is actually less tiresome but it need to be trained to masterize it since our eyes are just too used to see where the static objects are.
Edit : The girl pic may not be working with the right way since the 2 images are way far apart for our eyes, so do it cross eyed.
