PRAISE THE LORD!
excellent video, possibly on the same level as legendary vids of Mez at NL200 and cts at NL200. I'm going to watch it till I've memorized it all, then donate lots of money mis-applying the concepts until I figure them out.

why would u ever turn the a9o hand after like 3 mins into a bluff on the turn? i understand the reasoning if u floated him with nothing but -,- |
i was like 99.9% certain i had the best hand after he led the turn so fast, i wasn't bluffing
also, i figured he either had complete air, which was irrelevant, or a flush draw, which might call the smallish turn raise |

also a little more about the AQ hand:
1. he NEVER has a pocket pair and probably doesn't even have that many hands that contain a jack, because he didn't shove preflop
2. he is pretty unlikely to overbet shove with a legit hand other than a good semibluff
3. he is NEVER doing anything on the flop except shoving or raising smaller and calling a shove, so if he did raise smaller (like to 40 or 50) i might actually have folded figuring i had 26% showdown value and no fold equity, but when he shoves i know i'm good, or if he flopped a pair then it's a sick cooler and i have 7-8 outs anyway (backdoor straight draws)
therefore K8ss is like, absolute nuts in his range
i feel like people are gonna think i got really lucky to be getting my money in appropriately with AQ high (i was behind, but sick overlay from the preflop action), but i strongly stand by my play |

Mctrick 3bets most of his range though, for what it's worth. I'd 4bet TT+ for value. |
results oriented? i don't really see how it's "results oriented" to observe that somebody 3bets me a lot
-.-a? |

Are you serious?
If somebody is getting good cards and thus is 3betting you a lot as opposed to actually 3betting you lightly, what does that mean? Maybe results oriented is the wrong word to use for it but =/ Sometimes meganits start 3betting me a ton too. And then they won't 3bet me for like 2 hours.
I don't really know what else to call it. You're reacting to the fact that they're probably getting good cards given the kind of player that they are, as opposed to what they are actually doing. Results oriented seemed appropriate. |

yeh flatting the A9 on turn prob best, i def didn't think i was bluffing though. but yeah you're right
and actually i see random donks make the worst possible spews in pots that were 4bet small preflop, this is super standard for me and yes i see a million geeks shove ATC here. agree that a case can be made for 4betting larger pre or betting a normal amount on the flop even, but i like to do crazy unorthodox stuff that either makes me look like the sickest soul-reader or the sickest spewfish, depending on how the money goes in. either one is great for image. |

Wow that was a great vid, thanks myth.
One question... Early on you raise QTo over a limper whom you expect to give you no credit, and flop top pair, cb and get called. The turn brings a flushdraw and a lot of pair and straightdraws to a large part of his range (I think the board came down something like T625cc) and won't scare the remainder of his flop calling range, and you instacheck behind like it's standard. Why not take him for 3 streets?
Good luck in the comback... |
