That Was A Boo Boo
In a battle of the blindsjust before the break, Lee Watkinson hit a set of sixes when the flop came . When the turned the other player bet and Watkinson raised. His opponent thought Watkinson had moved all-in and tabled his hand--pocket Queens. But Watkinson hadn't gone all in--he still had chips behind and the opposing player took his hand back. The river was the , and although everyone at the table--including Watkinson--knew what he had, the other player moved all in. Of course, there was no way he was going to win another chip--if Watkinson couldn't beat QQ he'd just fold. But if Watkinson COULD beat QQ his opponent stood to lose his stack, and that's exactly what happened. Watkinson tabled his sixes, took down a massive pot, and his dejected opponent headed out of the Amazon Room. Watkinson now has 65,000.

me, ket, lyric, mcnasty, and cosmo's friend tom (PlzLemmeWin) are all still in the 1k rebuy going to day 2. about 110 players left, 72 get paid.

here's my brief story:

rebuy period: lose one flip, nothing else happens, wind up with 9k after double addon (so 1k above the 8k min)
levels 3-4: most epic insane rape that has ever occurred in my life. i chip up from 9k to 24k with zero showdowns. i have never owned a table so badly
levels 5-6: continued extreme domination, coupled with winning a flip to bust some guy. up to 56k'
dinner break: eat crappy mexican food with mark voss, yellowsub, and clayton. the entire dinner conversation consisted of mark voss recounting roughly a DOZEN stories in which his FTP account went from 10k to 500k+ and back to 0, usually in the span of a single week.
levels 7-8: dinner break ruined my momentum, and the fish to my left was replaced by some fearless sicko player, who frequents 25/50+ live cash games. got absolutely OWNED by my entire table during both of these levels, unreal re-rape on me. down to 42k.
levels 9-10: quickly get it in w AKs vs AQo for about 90k pot, hold, robusto SHIP. table gets broken and i rape my new table briefly, getting up to 120k. then i lose a flip for 85k (total pot), with 77 vs AK. would have been one of the chipleaders with 200k+, but instead ended the day with 82.5k

Eh, I can go a few more orbits in life, before taxes blind me out - PoorUser

James Mackey Doubles Through Tom Dwan

No-limit hold'em:

Tom Dwan opened for 15,500, James Mackey reraised to 45,000, Dwan moved all in and Mackey called.

Dwan: {K-Hearts} {10-Spades}

Mackey: {10-Clubs} {10-Hearts}

The board ran out {7-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {2-Spades}. No miracles for Dwan this time and he shipped more than half his stack over to Mackey.

After the hand, Mackey was up to 550,000 while Dwan fell to 175,000.
