Just tried to solo first quest on Act 3. Jesus the jump in difficulty is fucking enormous. I get owned by the trash mobs.

It's not difficult, someone just hand you godlike gear, and you breeze through it. Or you play DH and you kinda go through it relatively fast, well not fast, but everything gets doable with crap gear.

@act1 inferno WD. this game's getting real boring.. forced to farm gear for hours on end, playing through the same part over and over -_-

yeah i can see why people would find this game to be boring after getting into the later stages of the game. the drop rate sucks since blizzard wanted to keep the ah economy in check which means that you rarely ever find gear that you can use so it becomes a meaningless grind for selling items on the ah which is less fun that finding gear yourself. Honestly if I could just sell the gold and gear on my account i would probably quit too, but since I already spent a lot of time on it might as well just wait for the new features to come out.

for people who haven't read this article a game designer posted why a lot of people lose interest in d3 and it talks about some interesting stuff.

Am I the only person playing this game who simply doesn't use the AH at all since I.dislike the idea of it?

I've only bought 1 item to use off the ah, but playing the AH for profits is like a whole other game to me and I enjoy it a lot more than I do playing D3
