how did you aquire 200 mln gold ?

Expiate   Bulgaria. Jun 18 2012 08:31. Posts 236

Gold sell will have 30% tax, so better buy items and sell them instead of the gold.

2c0ntent   Egypt. Jun 18 2012 08:38. Posts 1387

30% RMAH fee since when? pretty sure it will follow the same plan they have for commodities in general which is

15% fee at the RMAH

no additional fee if going to battlenet balance

15% fee if transfering to paypal (so like 27.25% fee total)

Yeah, I mean total. Price will drop a lot after the first few days too.

got almost 200mln gold, I hope they enable gold selling in game Auction House soon so I can get rid off it asap.

take a few minutes to play the ah, buy things low on gold ah and sell them on rmah you'll make easily 4-5x more than what the gold is worth selling directly.

I keep thinking about how uninformed diablo 3 appears to be given blizzards "experience" with diablo 2, but I think its quite clear what has happened once you remember than in 2005 they completely shut down the blizzard north studio, which was the group that developed diablo 1 and 2 (though employees were given an option to move to irvine, they still lost their lead designers of d2 afaik). Worse then that, it seems that the current designers didn't even do basic research or play much diablo 2 in general..

just basic things like how the trade window has no anti-scammer protections, when the diablo 2 trade does. in this case something as basic as allowing items to be swapped without any indication to the trade partner, and this other hilarious one where if you place your item in the trade window by dragging and dropping these scammers try to take advantage of you by rapidly opening and closing the trade window in an effort to get you to accidentally drop your item onto the ground..
This problem had long ago arisen in diablo 2 and the trade window was specifically fixed to solve these problems, and yet the functionality is missing in diablo 3... wtf?

like jay wilson, d3 lead design, obviously didn't even go through and read through the diablo 2 patch notes in order to get an idea of whats going on. the world is just embarrassing to me i guess.

idk I keep posting complaints about the game but its just such a big reminder to me about how the world works I suppose

it is disgusting to me that "cleverness" is considered above all to be the ability to pull one over on other people.. I'm sure the execs at Blizz are being praised for all of their ability to ride upon the backs of Blizzard North studios and the Old Blizzard who actually set all the balls rolling (starcraft/diablo/warcraft series) and many of whom are not compensated for all of the momentum they created (and which will run out eventually, now that it isn't being maintained with quality releases IMO -- I know several casual gamers who were extremely excited about diablo 3 due to their casual experience with diablo 2.. and even though they liked diablo 3 "ok", they won't have any kind of excitement for diablo 4)

Thats intentionally perhaps, to discourage in-game trading.

People need to stop getting burt hurt over how Diablo 3 is not like Diablo 2. In today's world, sunk costs and development time is too much for companies to focus on hardcore fans in the areas of console and computer gaming. Also, it would have actually been disappointing for blizzard to spend half a decade just to make an "updated" version of Diablo 2. It's not like blizzard's sequels are 1-2 years apart from each other.

botting seems the only way to go if you want to get some serious gear i think
d3 became a "who will find the bugs and abuses first and wont tell to his friends" if you wanted to make some gold to buy items.
and now prices are going so high that you cant even afford buying good items with gold unless you got 200m like defrag or something like that.
i guess all these ppl who got excited about it are just going to dump the game sooner or later and blizz will be happy making money with that 15% from ah...

Why shouldn't people want an upgrade after waiting 12years? Why the hell should they settle for companies cutting corners and releasing inferior products to maximize their profit margins?

Yep everyone who got on board early botting/duping/exploiting is making a killing (some cases even hundreds of thousands of dollars in profit), everyone who tried to play legit gets fucked with every patch.

Buy cheap, sell expensive I bought a ton of items that I knew would go with inflation... I had 3 andariels with 170+dex each that I bought for 12/15/15 mln, sold them for 27,35,35 today. Few other as well. like an amulet I got for 2mln sold for 10, natalyas mark bought for 3, sold for 7 etc.

European RMAH is really annoying, I sold few items that got transfered to B.net account balance due to this shit being bugged. Blizzard obv refused to transfer the money, so I have to ask friends to put up fake auctions, I buy them out and then they transfer me cash on Paypal.

Seriously, if I would find anyone willing to buy bulk for Pokerstars money, I would sell cheaper then chineese sellers -_-

then why not just slap a new name on it instead? if diablo 3 was called "dungeon looter: the demon hunter" it would probably get smashed by critics.
i am not surprised that the devs of torchlight 2 (i.e., the people that actually MADE diablo 2) stated that their pre-sales went up a bunch after diablo 3 was released (http://www.videogamer.com/pc/diablo_3/news/diablo_3_was_originally_intended_to_be_an_mmo_says_runic_boss.html)

so instead of an "updated" version of diablo 2, blizzards gives a downgraded WoW instead... and you're satisfied?

(also, development time... 12 years lol)

not only that, but it's obvious that blizzard is inflating enemy stats (artificial difficulty) to make the auction house almost a necessity to beat the game on inferno.

bot already run shit on the auction house. as if people didn't see this coming. blizzard sucks ass now.

BTW your above link needed the "l" at the end
here it is http://www.videogamer.com/pc/diablo_3/news/diablo_3_was_originally_intended_to_be_an_mmo_says_runic_boss.html
lol idk if you saw before but not only did they inflate enemy stats but they diminished the role of skill in the game by making it impossible to 'skill dodge' a majority of attacks in a further effort to push people into the RMAH

i'm sure you've noticed tho.. its hilarious because you can even press one of your escape buttons and still get one shot by enemies etc. (my favorite is when you smoke screened and are 20 yards on the other side of an enemy and then you see "Dodged!" or a death screen, the game just makes u feel like a piece of shit for even trying to PLAY it)

I just don't get why they thought this was necessary when diablo 2 didn't have impossible to escape attacks/gear checks constantly AND YET the whole reason they have the RMAH is because they were inspired by the massive, enduring real money underground gray markets. But guess what, if no one is playing your game because its no fucking FUN they aren't going to stick around to spend real money on it.

This cocksucker Jay Wilson and other Blizz executives just figure that there are so many vulnerable videogame addicts that the gameplay doesn't even matter. He's probably right (look at zynga).

Diablo 3 is Diablo 3 because it's based off the Diablo series lore. If enemies stats weren't high enough I'm pretty sure that people would start complaining that the game isn't hard enough either. No one is pointing guns to your heads forcing you to try to beat inferno mode. Do people forget they had to grind for days to level up and gear up in order to beat the hardest difficulty modes in Diablo 2? Countless Mephisto/Diablo/Baal runs. And people seem to forget how Diablo 1 was, it's not like the Butcher had 5 different attacks and you had to dodge a bunch of boss mechanics, if you weren't high level enough or had strong enough armor, you'd get chopped to death, same with Andariel, Duriel, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

Still

Blizzard > Capcom < Bangbros

The issue is it isn't hard, it's just lazy. Pure numbers, with no room to let skill show.
