I just want to feel strong as a character in Diablo 3. Really looking forward to 1.03. I'm at the point where if I just had a LITTLE better gear I could survive but there's too much luck and having to workaround / restart quest to avoid Soul Lasher packs is just dumb game design.

2c0ntent it isn't about having brood war-level skill and 200+ APM but about having your actions on the battlefield be meaningful because you can influence things like whether you get hit by an attack or not by another method besides a random roll of the dice based on your equipment. that is what it means to be an ACTION rpg..

this is why man~ at least, that is the thesis of my argument on this aspect of the topic =) surely you've noticed what I mean by the above.. ?

the only options to do stuff like use movement and positioning are
1. keeping the monsters completely off of your screen and kiting (not a fun way rly.. I'd at least like to be able to kite with enemies on my screen 'n stuff)

2. some certain attacks like those guys with the big mace that have a wind up attack -- and even then you can get 20 yards out of their way and they still programmed the game in such a way that you are attacked and receive a dodge check (aka your inputs into the game were meaningless)

I won't belabor this particular point anymore tho.. pretty much laid it out ;o!

With the changes of getting ilvl63 items in Act 1 along with having Act 2-4 nerfed in terms of mob damage and hit points makes me want to start playing again. Last week or so I just come on to check on auctions and put new stuff up, etc.

Yeah, that's if you were a Demon Hunter with 280K DPS.

If you're a Barb you're either forced to go into purely defensive skills, abilities, and gear to even beat it. Shit like life on hit, attack speed, high block%, and sword and shield. Seems pretty fucking dumb to have an entire class be forced to do the same thing when Blizzard has preached about the "billions" of combinations of skills one can choose from. Look at any sword and board Barb and they will ALL have the EXACT skills and runes attached. It's pathetic.

Or you need to have 200M gold worth of gear to go 2H Barb and melt everything and still have a high % of dying because you still cannot tank well and the goal is to kill them before they kill you, and what's so shitty about this build is that you HAVE to rely on two-minute cooldown spells to take down elite packs in Act 3 - 4 so you end up running around like a mud cunt until your CD's are up.

Softcore has been a joke since day one, they killed diablo inferno within a few days so, don't say it's hard. You think they should nerf it just so you can use gimp-builds?

Yea act 3 and 4 is already easy as it is for well geared barb. You may do very little dps in full party play, but you rarely die unless your micro is terrible.

There's pros and cons for being a barb. Pros being that ur wiz/dh friends begs to have you in a party for 5velor farming. Its also funny to watch all your group die whenever you cant hold the front. Downside is that barbs aren't the most time efficient class for farming solo. Most of my dh/wiz friends run 5velor azmo in half the time I do. Which is why I just rolled a wizard with 150million worth of gear 8)
