I think you are right, but people doing the same joke over and over and saying that sng = 100% luck annoy me. And as i said i enjoy more sng atm.

do you ever play those jackpot sng's on titan?...i forget what they are called

honestly...as far as improving your game goes...sng's may do that for you...but not as much as cash games can (imo)....i dunno..i used to play tournaments when i started playing poker online....and i cant say i gained much from doing so other than knowing now to stay away from them! i probably had the wrong approach tho..

20% rake is pretty bad. if you have confidence in your game as well as a bit of extra cash, it couldn't hurt to deposit some (and get a nice bonus hopefully) and take a shot at higher stakes. only do this if you are absolutely certain you'll be able to drop down in limits if the games are too tough for you atm.

welcome to teh pokers and gl

also, definitely switch to cash games when you have like 25-30bi for 10nl. play 4-6 tables of 6max and you will learn a TON and you wont really get bored if youre focused. just watch how the other players play their hands, pick up on their tendencies and take lots of notes to help you make reads and exploit their weaknesses.

boblion ignore 90% of the replies in this thread.

Really I suppose you only need 30 buyins at the lowest stakes but more is nice.

sngs can be profitable, after the 22's they're pretty much not though even the 22's are a stretch.

try to find a site where its 5+50c not +1 dollar.

yes cash games require more skill (by far) but that doesn't mean theres no skill in sngs - equally to play properly in cash games you need quite alot of experience and knowledge so in some ways you might as well just grind sngs out.

everyones likes "switch to cash games switch to cash games" do what you want - i'm a cash game player but i must've spent my first 6 months playing sngs.

good luck, keep grinding and not tilting. be aware of how your opponents are playing and don't be like "omfg how could call me allin with K6o in the bubble" when he's been doing shit like that all game - its your mistake by not adjusting to his calling range not his. (assuming he's been playing like a complete retard)

anyway good luck

ps sorry for bad english - even though I am English =p

poker is soooo much easier when you flop sets
