Why report when there is nothing to gain? Were you pissed off because you were sitting in a shitty position in relation to theirs or did you get more money due to you moving up one spot?

Some questions I would like the answers to, so that I can stop reading this at page 4:

1.) what kind of flipping were elky and the other guy doing? How did they go about discussing it, and were they the only players involved?

2.) Wobbly says he said something to elky about it. Did he do this before he sent the email to pokerstars? Did he give elky a chance to stop?

Yeah I just can't fathom why he didn't simply let them know it was against the rules in the chat. Exact same thing happened on my table where Moneymaker asked another player if he wanted to flip the next hand if it was folded to them in the blinds. Third player asked politely if that's not against the rules.

I agree with what pokerdoc88 said. The problem i see here is the way woobly approached the situation. If you feel you did good by reporting Elky then fine with you. Just dont come brag about you reported a LP icon and expect to get praised for it.

I think everyone will lose any respect they had for you woobly

the point is, what they did isnt -EV for the rest of the table, its obviously +EV for them, but it is -EV for OTHER tables

Firstly, that isn't completely what the rule is about. It affects the play in future hands because players have already discussed how they will be playing in said future hands.

Also, every tournament player wishes this was legal, as long as they are on the table with one of the players who are doing this. Every other player in the tournament is at an unfair disadvantage.

it doesn't matter if other players on ur table end up with more chips than u. the point is, you are now deep and a better player, so u get all those chips back and become huge.

I think a lot of people are having a problem with Wobbly because his explanation amounts to "a rule is a rule and I don't actually use my brain to think about what I'm doing first" while at the same time it's fucking doubtful that he lives life that perfectly like a saint following every rule or law (did he ever speed while driving? etc) and this makes him a huge hypocrite

Sure elky may not have directly contribute much to this forum, but he indirectly contributed the world to LP. AFAIK he was the very first one to get into poker, and it was he who got rek, naz, meat, etc all into poker... which then started LP and made it into what it is today.

it doesn't with regard to what a colossal turdbag wobbly is, but a lot of the arguments presented are 'HOW CAN YOU DO THIS TO SUCH A VALUED MEMBER OF THE COMMUNITY WHO HAS DONE SO MUCH' blahblah, which is obviously nonsense.
