i dont know how to link videos and the comments were all over CNN, NBC, ABC, FOX (the local affiliate). I don't watch 'fox news.' And Obama even had to address the issues with his minister and 'left' the church, but supposedly keeps his minister as his spiritual adviser. and you can look it up, i am not going to go out of my way to prove something that is very common knowledge. do you need me to link any videos proving gravity? and i like obama, he seems like a smart, genuinely do-gooder guy, he players poker, he smokes cigs (good for tobacco lobbies from NC, my 'home' state) and he is knowledgeable about the constitution and reform laws, which should help the legal woes with congress passing new and useless, if not annoying, laws in the first place. so many positives i feel i do not need to list. but it is well known that his wife has said some not so positive or 'media savvy' comments, as did his minister, about white people. do i think or hope it should lose him the election, no. do i think its ironic he is seeking the 'white' house, yes. do i care, overall, no. but there is no need to call me ignorant, claim you have no respect for me (because i posted this?) and you target me for whatever reason when people can say things like 'powell likes obama cause they are both black.' please they are the whitest black people ever.

and i do think its a bit weird that if someone doesnt share your exact view you have to slander, point fingers, spew catchphrases like (fox news watcher...wtf does that have anything to do with anything, about fox news?) and you become incredibly defensive and have people bandwagon me telling me to calm down when in fact i am calm and happy.

First off I haven't heard anything about Obama continuing to go to Wright for advice. He took Wright off his spiritual advisory board in the early days of his campaign before all this drama came up. He left the church when wright refused to apologize for his comments. And my understanding is that they aren't close at all right now.

Ok, we'll start with the CNN article you posted about Rev Wright that you say is proof that he hates white people.

His first quote is:

"Hillary was not a black boy raised in a single parent home. Barack was," Wright says in a video of the sermon posted on YouTube. "Barack knows what it means to be a black man living in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich white people. Hillary! Hillary ain't never been called a 'nigger!' Wright, who retired from his post earlier this year, also says in the video, "Who cares about what a poor black man has to face every day in a country and in a culture controlled by rich white people?"

I don't see anything wrong with that. He's making the point that Barack understands being discriminated against due to race and Hillary doesn't. Seems legit to me. As far as the rich white people - hell I bitch about that and I'm white! This country is controlled by rich white people, that's a fact. Does this mean that the Rev hates all whites? I dun think so.

Next quote is:

I totally agree with this one, and this is one of the statements that freaked people out. I don't think that we got attacked on 9/11 cause the terrorists "hate our freedom". That's bullshit. We got bombed cause we've screwed over a lot of people in our history of violence and finally some got pissed off enough and organized enough to retaliate.

This one I don't like so much. I don't agree with the "god damn america" part. Now he's generalizing and it ain't cool. And I don't know where he got this shit that the Gov gives blacks drugs. But I do think that we focus way too much on throwing people in jail rather than rehabilitation and it's influenced by people making big bucks by building prisons.

Still, I don't see how this proves that Wright hates white people. There's white people who attended his church regularly.

I don't know Farakahn but from reading those quotes he sounds like a douche. But saying that Wright hates whites because Farrakahn hates em doesn't work. I have close childhood friends who think iraq had WMD's. They're good people and I love em and I'd give them awards for the good things they do any day, but it wouldn't mean I think Iraq had WMD's.

Next you link a video of Michelle Obama and I have no idea how that proves that she hates white people... seriously, did you link the wrong video? This was an interview taken before the primaries started when Hillary was winning the black vote. In responding to why Michelle thought that was, she explains that black people have spent so much time hearing that they are inferior cause of their race that they constantly approach things from that mindset of inferiority. She also talks about that fear that blacks have for Obama (lots of them originally said they didn't want to vote for him cause they were scared he'd get killed if elected). But how does that show that she hates white people? At the end the seize on her statement that black america will wake up, but I took her to be saying that they'll realize that Obama is a great candidate and that they don't have to be scared to support him or scared that he will be killed if they do support him.

So you're still seriously lacking on proof of Michelle Obama hating white people.

Lastly you talk about how Obama mentions a "typical white person" seeing someone they don't know on the street and having a negative reaction... and again I agree with him. I think depending on how you grow up and what images/stereotypes you are fed, you have different gut reactions to different images. Most white people grow up around other white people and have negative reactions to seeing people who are different from them. Blacks and mexicans and so on feel the same. I know blacks who see whites and get automatic negative reactions. I'm a typical white person. I'm actually a liberal and open minded typical white person. I still have moments where I walk into a poor neighborhood and my hand goes to cover up the pocket my wallet is in. Then I go "god I'm a real piece of shit" and I move it. I don't think that Obama's showing any hate for white people.

Basically you haven't put a single piece of evidence to show that Michelle hates white people or that the Rev Wright hates white people. I appreciate you making an effort but unless you can find something better than this I hope you can conceede that they DO NOT hate white people. Also, if like you said earlier that this is a common fact like gravity, then why is it so hard to find proof of it? Why can't you find a single clip of Michelle saying "I hate white people" or "All white people are evil" or some shit?

I'm willing to look at anything else you provide to prove your point and if you find something that does I'll gladly concede. But everything I've read (and I read the news pretty extensively every day) over the last 6 months has proven you to be wrong, and mostly only people who believe email chain letters or fox news believe the statements that you made. Sorry for throwing the fox news label on you but you're the first person I've met who made that claim who didn't watch fox news.

I think that the "typical Muslim people" type of line is just fine too. I think that if muslims got up in arms about mccain saying that then they'd be idiots trying to start drama over nothing.
