I don't know much about any of this, but I do know that people who've done a lot of stuff like this in the past have got caught a lot of times before and probably have some pretty good responses, backup plans when it fails. (Good with excuses, saying sorry etc)
Just a lot more profitable being on your guys side than what he scammed those people off/guilt, or some other motive.
Don't think he's to be trusted.
Remember back when Trek, some swedish guy got caught hacking, cheating on Brood war, got really upset because I really respected him and his play. Blabla, some long felt excuse, people forgave him, he did it again, got caught, and this time, he was REALLY sorry, and "payed" for it and got forgiven.
Several years later I had started playing WoW and I heard Trek was in one of the top guilds, and all respected and stuff. Cool I thought, I knew him, said hi and some stuff, that was about it.
Then I started reading on the forums, some guy kept abusing people, stealing their mats (stuff which takes a lot of time to gather, and costs a lot of gold) and their golds with different ways of cheating. Doing it on fakenicks.
I didn't think much of it, but one day I saw people screaming in general chat they got stolen of all their belongings again, and spammed the name of the fakenicker who did it.
I was bored, didn't think much over it, and then some idea popped in my head, I remember, I dunno where from, but that Trek had a gf called Kristine or something like that, so i spammed in caps to the guy with the fakenick "HAHAHA KRISTINE TOLD ME IT WAS YOU TREK LOL"
I got whisper back right away "LoL fuck, plz don't tell anyone hahaha"
Ok, sorry for the rant didn't plan it. But my point is, people really don't change and usually just people who are selfish and egoistic have this kind of behaviour. Now if this guy is new to poker, and not very good, I'm sure he'll turn around, become a good/nice guy since he will benefit from your guys wisdom and poker knowledge, but the second he can rip someone off big time, or don't need to put on this act, I'm sure he'll fuck someone over again.
