Ok so I have an IRL friend who plays poker and he started the day out with a 220$ roll and then went on to win a 4$ 180 man tourney and basically double that. He then played a 6 table session of 25nl and got stacked like 2 times. Then he went on tilt playing 5/10 and 10/20 fixed limit was down to his last 80$ then bluffed someone with T4 off and ended running it up to 700+. Then he started talking trash and challenged me to heads up 50nl. So I sat down and told him to search me. He did and I took 3 buyins off him. Then he told me its all my fault and that he was going to go busto and how im not a real friend. He went to 10/20 fixed and busted his account. Should I feel bad about this? I mean if he had beat me he would have talked mad shit and never let me live it down.. and probably never offered me a rematch. I talked to some other people and they think it was bad manner to play a friend for significant stakes HU when they are on tilt. What do u think? I mean tough love right? (he wont answer phone or respond to ims so I think he is really mad)

your friend is dumb. if one of my friends was trash talking and challenged me to HU nl50, I'd play until I have the shirt off his back.
I don't think I'd be friends with that type to begin with though. |

he was never your friend to begin with, judging from your story.
If he picks up the game again this experience will serve him well in any case, just as Neilly has put shit together after multiple iterations of losing self control. If I were in his shoes I would never be challenging someone I considered a friend no matter what my situation. Even when I'm on the same table as some of my LP friends, what happens on the tables happens. If they stack me, they stack me. All I'd do is probably msg them and discuss the hands with them if I thought it'd improve our games, etc. |

i think you can answer this question yourself...
ask yourself: "Do I feel bad enough to want to give this person his $ back?"
and thats your answer..
personally i don't have a problem stacking my friends, ask nolan

hen he started talking trash and challenged me to heads up 50nl
don't feel bad.
altough you should tell him that he is better not playing you and taking a break to get the tilt off.
but as you described it i don't think you should feel too bad about it, altough this pretty much shows why these things are never a good idea. someone is always getting "hurt", and ruining a friendship because of some pride is silly. |

Pretty much sums it up. If he has it in him to talk shit and challenge you he should also have it in him to know that he got his ass handed to him end of story and not whine about it like a little bitch. |

Hahahahahah, I've done this once. He didn't get pissed tho.
The other time we did it, he won like a few bis of me and I did get pissed. So I stopped doin' it, hahahah!
I think if he's going busto anyway, it might as well be to you. |
