For the record im not supporting berating anyone, but i think whats none of my business is none of my business.

To be fair intensedawg does whine a lot and berating anybody without reason is silly and there is nothing wrong with pointing it out imo. Altho a grudge I have about nolan and some other good players on this site is that once they got good with the help of this forum they stopped giving advice and actually actively went against ppl who gave good advice.

His comment probably refers to actual fish and not fishy regs? Let's face it a fish will not even come across DC let alone consider signing up for it.

I believe in being nice to people just because they browse LP. That said it is the responsibility of every winning and aspiring-to-win poker player to keep games good. Think of yourself as a visitor in a beautiful national park, it's a shared resource (fish) that needs to be protected. Don't litter (make games uncomfortable for fish) and I hope you yell at anybody who does.

EDIT: I'm not referring to coaching. Obviously I would prefer there to be fewer coaches of Nolan's caliber. But I can't really complain because I would have been a losing player were it not for the free advice I got from better players.

yes he whines plenty however he does help people on the forum. I talk with him online sometimes and he's very very cool. Just when he runs into shit on the tables he can't help himself. But he's for sure a cool guy.

I admit there are similarities, but coaching and berating fish when they are actually playing like shit arent really the same. I mean, a fish can watch a thousand videos and still make spewy calls. But if they get someone to constantly remind them that they play like shit and need to tighten up. Well, that just makes me sad. Usually the fish quits or starts to think before he acts, which imo is worse. And finally, nolan makes money doing this and doesnt come of as a jerk (or whatever). I dont care really, you've made your point and were atleast 70% right.

poker video sites like cardunners and deucescracked etc were major impact that made poker much more harder game ...

theres a difference between fish that dont realize they are bad and fish that are consistantly told they are bad by someone who cant stfu at the table.

poker is getting harder and harder as we speak. I hate how high stakes player say bum hunter/berating fish is bad for the games etc but fucking training sites are 1 billion times worst for the game yet they dont complain cuz they are the ones making money off them. With the pool of fish getting smaller and variance getting bigger, more swings more frustration and ppl are looking to take out the frustration someone.

well, as a general guideline after winning a gamble, the fish will get the gambling high, which does not only give em the rush but also reinforces their mislead belief in that they made the correct play.
Granted, that is not always the case.

Training sites its give and take, you cant learn and yet expect others to not improve also. However there are no winners in berating fish :/

berating fish online is correct. i havent heard of a fish who quit poker coz they got berated lol

I've seen a lot of fish switch tables when they're being berated. Best just to say "nh" and wait for your next chance. All you're looking for is a -chance- to stack the fish, to get it in good and hope it holds up. There are no monetary benefits to berating fish. It's a -EV play.
