Sweet, so this will be my first blog and depressingly it won’t be about poker, but about a girl. Read further if you want to, whatever. So, I’m taking a microbiology lab course this summer. The first day of class, I was a little late and so I found the first table with an open seat. As I go to sit down, I kind of notice through the corner of my eye that the girl sitting next to me has been staring at me, although I’m not too sure so I look and our eyes lock for an awkwardly long time before we both smile. The girl is very cute and I’m thinking cool beans. As we begin our first lab, she introduces herself and tells me her name, Joanna. Since that first day, she has been extremely good to me. For example, everyone gets their own safety goggles, gown, etc for lab from the storage shelves, but she always gets my things for me. She gives me a ton of attention and is super, super nice and she’s giving a ton of vibes that she likes me, including waiting outside of class for me if she finishes her exam or quiz first, etc. We have great chemistry and are really hitting it off. She giggles and blushes like a little school girl at my lame jokes. I am like, 99.99% sure this girl is into me. Damn these manly, rugged, handsome good looks of mine always getting me in trouble.
So we had an exam this morning, she finished about 5 minutes before me and after I finish my exam, as usual she is waiting for me in the hallway like a dog waiting on its master. She drove today and kindly asked me if I wanted a ride. I snap say yes. So, we’ll in her ride and she starts talking about how her parents are going to Florida for the week and she’ll have the house to herself. I’m like, damn, this is like flopping the nuts! Full boat baby!! Ship that shit mothafker!! Eat my penis bitches!! And then she says that while she would of liked to have gone to Florida, she will instead go up north this Thursday. So okay, fine, I ask her what’s going on up north? She says that her boyfriend has a cottage up north and she’ll spend the weekend up there.
Wait, boyfriend? Come again? BOYFRIEND?!! WTF you cock tease! Gawd damn shorty, why you gotta be all nice and flirty to me and shit for the past 4 weeks and then telling me your parents are gone for the week making me think I’m gonna be riding that sweet young juicy rump of yours to kingdom come this weekend. Boyfriend WTF, boyfriend?!! R U SERIOUS? I feel like I misread the board, or my reads, or something. FML. Not sure what is going to happen from here on out, she is sending some weird mixed signals, maybe she just wants to be friends, or maybe is interested in a new BF, I dunno, I’m quite confused and I'm kinda in shock right now. I mean, I did not think she had a boyfriend the way she was treating me. I don’t think I’ll be flirting with her anymore. Yeah, I know, “there’s plenty of other fish in the sea” but I was really liking her. Plus, I was thinking that I was going to get some action this weekend, but now the only action I’ll be getting is from other micro donks like myself, super nits who always have the nuts, and Rosey Palm.
Anyways, poker wise, I’m still toiling in the micros while guys I started out with are in midstakes and higher like Exhilirate and Rockman. Another FML. Also, I just missed getting into grad school, FML again. Gonna go listen to some Interpol…..GL everyone.

@topic: try to speak with her about it, i have been in a quite similar situation one year ago. Turned out that she was very sorry because it wasnt her intention to leave/cheat on her BF. It was quite hard the first week, but nowadays we're the very best friends.

Man, trust your instincts, very few girls are aggressive in their game, they are a lot more subtile in their hitting. So if you've picked up a read that she's in to you, lets go with it. You got everything you need...she's want to hang out with you, she think's you're a funny guy and so on. Further, why would she tell you that she's alone in her house...because she want's you to STEP UP and give her a proposal that you two hang out together that weekend ofc. Her boyfriend might be a test or a second-best alternative for her. Obv, from the pov the text gives, she wants you to come over the top and take some initiative, girls like guys who are self-confident. So you should not back-down at this point, instead you should ask her if you should hang out. It doesn't seem to me that she has decided to go to her "BF", she's more like fishing for information, what type of guy are you, are you confident enought to ask her out. She might not want to be the one that take the intiative, esp. not if she really has a bf because then she has acted immoral if shes hitting on you due to her GF-obligations, but if there comes a guy that totally sweeps her of her feet, hey then it's not her fault if she is unfaithful and later dumps her BF and hook up with you instead. A classic one!
I say go for it dude!
But remember:
Watch out so you don't enter the "friend"-zone. This means that you act like someone she only think of as a friend and therefore not gets sexually attracted to...extremely dangerous and very hard to recover from dropping into that zone!
Also, a BF is never an obstacle for real. Feelings change and so does constellations of relationships ;-) I don't know how far it is for her to her BF (if she has a long-distance relationship or w/e) or if she's just feeling lonesome in school, but i say she's definitely attracted to you somehow. You just have to discover in what way and steer it into the direction of your likings. This is doable on almost every girl (expet the boring and dull ones because you won't be interested enought to put in efficient effort to it).
