I think that it's important that we uphold the U.S. constitution. Obama's taken office without actually showing whether or not he has qualified for it (natural-born U.S. Citizen), and people who don't understand the situation just let it go right over their heads. I'm not saying I don't think he has a right to the presidency, but I am saying we are a nation with hundreds of years of history, and if we have required EVERY OTHER president to do this, then why can Obama slip by without proof?

wait whats this... logic?
on this matter?
that can't be...
The Constitution is outdated and we have evolved! |

It's not outdated, it's what our country stands for. Don't be silly. If it's outdated, then we can amend the clause that says that a President needs to be natural born. |

It has already been proven, just not your personal satisfaction. You seem to think that because Obama doesnt hold a national press conference, open a sealed envelope, and present his birth certificate on live television that nobody has yet to verify whether he is or isnt a natural born citizen. Seriously now, you think when he made his bid for president and won, somebody simply took his word for it?

Yes, I do. Why would he not release the certificate, and why would there be so many UNHAPPY citizens if it was something as retarded as that? I think the problem is there is no birth certificate to show

See it is this point that as this movement grows, actually does seem to become viable
I mean this issue could and should easily be resolved and I do not see why it hasn't been already?
Newb you have a birth certificate do you not? (you don't have to answer)
every American I know that I have asked so far does
I just aim to make the observation that this movement is growing actually pretty substantially and while yes it could be viewed as a silly argument, our President, who vowed transparency, could and should just show the birth certificate and end this instead of allowing this dumb debate to grow to an insane size that if completely unfounded tarnishes the common sense of this country
seriously what is so wrong with that? lol |

From what I understand Obama isnt hiding his birth certificate. In his current position that information is not in his posession, or in his desk drawer, or in a safe locked at his residence etc. The birth certificate is sealed in Hawaii or some shit, and for matters of security and what not, I believe it is relatively standard that the public does not have immediate access to ANY personal documents of president's and so forth.
Besides hiding his birth certificate makes no sense, it would be ridiculously easy to forge one. Yes I have a birth certificate (I am a US citizen, just never updated my profile) and theres really nothing that fancy about it.
However beyond all that, it is important that someone like the president dismiss these trivial games otherwise it will set a bad precedent allowing anyone and everyone who wants some random related piece of information to demand he provide proof of, else he be called a liar.
And as far as whatever "movement" there is concerning this notion, a few silly youtube videos showing some irate crazy woman in her 50's is hardly indicative of anything taking over the country. I mean seriously lady, go back to the Kansas suburbs where you live in a town population of 10,000 and keep watching your daytime soaps and shopping at wal-mart, for you have never contributed anything towards this country other than consumerism, and you never will. I love how all these whiners live in their little plastic bubbles of reality completely disconnected from actual world events yet suddenly have an opinion on things because their TV's told them to. If anything I write off these loons with the same group of people who had those silly "tea parties". Monkey see monkey do. |

Why is it an issue you ask? It's not really. American Media just needs something to talk about, it's the age of infotainment. U.S. news programs run more like entertainment tonight rather than an actual news program. If it bleeds it leads. That's what happens though when it becomes all about profits rather than communicating the news. There are still some good people within all those horrible commercialized news programs but they struggle to make any significant impact because of how the system works.

I find that totally backwards Bejamin because the MSM (main stream media) isn't dissecting this or giving this issue even a minuscule amount of coverage compared to other drama type things that they would rip apart in total detail i.e. Michael Jackson
and when they do bring this subject up it is always in a desensitizing or mocking way and I ask why is that? To me such actions just gives it more validity
All they say is certificate of live birth equals birth certificate! it's legal - end of story
just go look and you will easily see there is much more to it than that
MSM is not how I came to the conclusion that this issue was growing and from what I've seen, besides Lou Dobbs the MSM do not bring this issue of eligibility up except to condone it and make a person feel marginalized to even consider or discuss it's validity.
This is the overall intent and power of MSM ----> think what they want you to think
sorry but I just can't wrap my head around the fact to just take their word for it and The Constitution or law of the land only applies when it benefits the powers that be
so while u do have some points about MSM that I do agree with I have to say your post is overall flawed on this issue
