Does anyone know a cheap alternative for coaching? Or just a cheap coach?
I believe exalted's theory, cause i'm a beginning/mainly losing/breakeven player at NL25 which is actually quite bad. I realize this, and I also realize that i have a lot of leaks but it don't really know which ones. I feel a coach might def help me improve but 50$/h is like 2 buy ins an hour I lose and I really can't afford this, but I guess this is a std price?
If anyone has a cheaper alternative, wants to give me a sweat or knows a cheap but decent coach, pm me we can talk on skype/msn. |

exactly, there have been cases where Stars seize the funds because the money was obtained through card fraud and stuff. |

I guess a raised level of awareness in the community is all that can be done about this issue then. Maybe have a stickied post in this forum with a few general guidelines to doing transfers. If smaller increments become a standard in this community then I'm sure it will save some people a few dollars a long the way. A stickied post might make someone go,"Hang on a sec that dude has 3 posts maybe I won't use them to transfer". |

It is common sense, but scammers often talk/asks about things which makes you feel you've known them x10 longer than you already have. May sound primitive, but it's not that hard to get scammed, the feeling is like if someone you really DO trust online scams you. |

And what about long time LP members ? Might be a little harder to get out of it since we know them a little better than the average scammers and won't go away so easily ? |

Before you do a trade try to do two things
1) Verify that the person you are transffering with is a winning poker player by inputting their screenname at http://www.pokertableratings.com
2) Try to find a person where the amount that you are trading is inconsequential to the stakes they are playing. For example, 500$ trade with someone that plays 200nl has a way higher success rate than trading 500$ with a guy that plays 25nl.
Follow those two steps and you should be okay.

Truth. I've got nearly 700 posts but I'd bet you nobody here knows anything about me, because I've posted so infrequently. I've been around since the start of LP.net, so it's pretty easy to have a somewhat decent amount of posts but still not really be a significant part of the community. For the most part, don't trust people unless they have as much to lose from scamming you as you do from being scammed. |
