Really?? I'm sure your game would most likely be safe and an opponent probably won't be looking at your hole cards, but I would never trust these companies with my money which have been shown to be bent as hell.

How did the whitewash work so well? How did UB and AP get caught proper hardcore red-handed cheating and then say "errrrr ok we're cleaning up yeah... we're now.. errrr... cereus... an anagram of secure omg we're so fucking clever" and never get proper outside regulation, let alone investigation, of their operation and their rubbish cleanup. It was an embarrasingly blatantly cheap under-carpet sweeping and everyone has just let it blow over. STOP IT!

I don't know, I just don't believe anyone would deliberately fuck up such a good money machine by letting idiots ruin its reputation (twice). I think ever since the superuser scandal happened I think this is the first security issue they have. If I recall correctly, they also had bugs in their software a couple more times. But these seemed like 'harmless' bugs which have been taken care of. You can call me naive (or stupid) but that's my opinion.

what crown was saying is they were playing on a unsecured personal network, not the poker sites network.. and if you work or play or w/e on a unsecured personal network u should be ready to lose money if a hacker actually tries to steal from u, its waay easy for them to just use a keylogger or a full on trojan to view ur whole screen.. and yes if u were playing poker on any network, it wouldnt change a thing, he would see your whole desktop.

Its hard to make a easy buck legally, its impossible to make a easy buck morally.

Is that under the assumption everyone who tries to earn money doesn't mind being a thief?

this makes me that some people would even consider that an option

Thinking about it, didnt that one dude massively win at blackjack on UB @ odds that seemed unfathomably possible, like .012 chance of it happening?

I believe it's in UB's best interest to be a trustworthy and legitimate site with honest games. They seem to be in it for the long haul and rightly so. Since they'll make so much goddamn money in the process.

I'll take the risks associated with playing on a "shady" but more likely incompetent site if the games are softer and I get paid more.

they still get better traffic than most other sites besides stars and ftp. and the games are significantly softer. especially on weekends oh baby...

isnt something pretty likely to happen to someone if it has a 0.012 chance of happening?

here is a vid i got from the HSNL thread on 2p2 about this...

also Crown, I believe you are thinking of ShaunDeeb's bj run from a cpl years ago. He didn't profit a mill, just wagered like 800k or so. I think he made a cpl hundred? It was really sick though and he created a brag thread on 2p2 about it a while back.

also. not hackers. hacking etc.

Would you prefer nearly impossible or higly unlikely odds of detection when performing criminal acts?

meh i would say given the chance 99% of the population would use holecard exploits knowing there is a chance to make millions with zero chance of legal repercussion

Research* shows that virtually 100% of the population is willing to cheat, but only a little. There are very few people that would use it to make millions, but nearly everyone would exploit it in a small way.

*See, for example, Predictably Irrational by Dan Ariely.
