This is semi-retarded... and not worth actually getting upset about. Someone would have to know that you are playing poker, have access to the network you're connected to and sit at the same table as you.
obviously needs to be fixed but isnt worth moving sites or anything from |

Probably people willing to take small risks in order to play with fish who don't know about all the security issues. |

While the likelihood of being affected by this is very slim, as long as you are taking the proper precautions, the bigger issue IMO is that it is an indication that Cereus does not treat the security of its players seriously. Online poker is an industry that depends on trust. If I had a lawyer or financial advisor and I found out that they were being careless about confidentiality, even if that did not apply to me personally, I would immediately end that relationship. The same concept is at work here. This is yet another example of Cereus not placing a high priority on the security of its players and that type of incompetence brings into doubt the integrity of their entire operation. I would never give Cereus any of my business. |

When the scandal happened I'm sure liquidpoker promised to have nothing to do with those criminals again. |

nevermind it doesnt let you just see anyone's holecards. You have to have access to opponents network or something so its actually kinda hard to get exploited by this.

Really?? I'm sure your game would most likely be safe and an opponent probably won't be looking at your hole cards, but I would never trust these companies with my money which have been shown to be bent as hell.
How did the whitewash work so well? How did UB and AP get caught proper hardcore red-handed cheating and then say "errrrr ok we're cleaning up yeah... we're now.. errrr... cereus... an anagram of secure omg we're so fucking clever" and never get proper outside regulation, let alone investigation, of their operation and their rubbish cleanup. It was an embarrasingly blatantly cheap under-carpet sweeping and everyone has just let it blow over. STOP IT! |
