Bad Session!

The 73 hand was like the 5th hand of the session or so. The thing that might be bad about this hand was that I had cold 4-bet with like 22 or 44 I forget because I felt it was a pretty good spot to do it (It was something like a bet-sizing tell or something. I think the 3-bet was really small and the button had raised, so the button probably wide...and I felt the 3-bettor was just 3-betting light).

The QQ hand and 93clubs hand UGH. Sadly I cant recall any reads I had.

I was playing with no hud, and the guy didnt really have any traits that stood out... I had reads on other ppl at the tables albeit not great ones. But certain types of players I cant really gain insight on. I feel like the QQ hand was the worst of the three. I tried to think of a combo range on the river it but I was doing it slow...I forget my rationale for the river shove. Its seems bad tho.

And the 93clubs hand, as you can see by the 73 hand Im kinda too keen on setting up river shoves on the turn.

I think the general lesson from the 93cc hand and the 73o hand is that I have to think harder about bluff shoves on polarized spots more. But I dont really have a great "Method" of going about deciding whether or not to pull the trigger (Which is why I should laern game theory). Also hazy on what "Criterion" to consider in these polarized spots.

Anyway I am rambling...YEAH. Fuck!

why are all small stakes players obsessed with being "LAG?"

just play like a nit and get money. Also you're playing really terrible hands i dont know what you're expecting from playing them, you pretty much have to flop like a god to get money or have to run big bluffs with very little equity.

The only hands a nit balances in his range are the nuts, the second nuts, and the third nuts.

this.

why is everyone obsessed with making their vpip as big as possible instead of making their bb/100 as big as possible?

But if I raise 73o preflop, it only makes sense to be willing to shove this river right? Or else fold pre?

only if he folds, know when to give up

Yeah. I was thinking similar thoughts prior to the 73o shove actually.

the "when to give up" here is preflop.

I guess the problem is I don't know. (I guess underestimating how much worse it is than say, Q5s or whatever).

aiai, all hands grossly missplayed. And lol, if you're playing 10nl, play hands with good equity, and cut down so you get a really tight range oop :x
Play High cards (especially vs short stacks and bad ppl for value) call multi way vs nits/tight ppl with suited connectors, or limp with them if u can cos they play sick good multiway, and some connected cards, fold everything else, easier to play, make less mistakes and get in less tricky spots, and you can learn it the right way.

This is nonsense

not sure what you expect to get called from in hand 1, AJ ? you'd rather check/call or check/fold river, you can also check turn and bet like half pot river if he checks behind turn

73o is a fold no matter how lag you are, even durrrr or isildur wouldn't even think about playing it

as for the 93s, cutoff raise might be a bit too loose, raising it from the button would be fine otherwise, now that u raised it, u can just comfortably call flop considering he's betting 30 cents into 90 cents, calling is just fine... now if u decide to raise, you're in position so you can check behind turn to get a free card once it's checked to you

You must not feel bad about giving up even when you've been bluffing on flop + turn or w/e it is that u did

Im not sure what to do tomorrow when I see her, should I shake her hand?? -Floofy

Hm cool. Checking the 93 in position didnt even occur to me actually...Im just so used to semi-bluffing with flush draws that I did'nt really consider the checking alternative. The way I thought about checking was that its usually 0 EV (I guess?) or 0% share of equity since I just auto-associated it with hands where the option to check comes up at showdown or with a hand with little equity. But it never occured to me that checking a FD in position actually can be really profitable since your just guaranteeing urself a draw. didnt think about just calling the flop either.

And yeah the QQ river decision I feel is probably the worst decision of the bunch in terms of my thought process. 73o at least the reason why its bad is cause I don't know how bad 73o is.

Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to go back to NL 2/NL 5. I used to try to play NL 10 all aggressive but lost a lot of money in the process. Once I moved down again to go back to basics and tighten up, NL 10 wasn't as hard. DONT RERAISE WITH 73o. Stick to ABC poker. Read some beginner articles on hand types and don't try to go against the rules until you really know what you are doing.
