As a fan I'm quite interested in the heat now I think its going to be super fun year for NBA.As for the hate I think a lot of it is a bit is extreme but I definitely understand it. Yea he played 7 years and they didnt win it but honestly I think they shoulda just tried harder. The one shitty thing about this whole thing imo is the fucking 9pm show he put on. I thought for sure he was staying with the cavs after he said he was having a show cause who the fuck would make a show to DUMP there hometown. He should have definitely did it another way imo.
I still put Kidd and Nash over Rose any day. Kidd can probably triple double every game if he wanted to, but since he has so many scorers on the Mavs, he just dishes it out for the assists.

Pacifist my claim wasn't outrageous at the time. If the big 3 had signed max deals that leaves 0$ for anyone else and the rest of the roster would be filled with 800k minimum salary crappy players. So when lebron, wade, bosh rest, their bench would get creamed. Even with boston it was the development of rondo, perkins, big baby (all of their young draft picks) that got them over the top.
Mike Miller is a big fucking deal for this team. So would getting Derek Fisher. But this is only possible because the big 3 took 2 million less each and Beasley's 6 million salary got traded. So yes, I stick to my innocent statement that at the time, the bulls were a better team. And now that they got Korver, they're going to rock.

Kobe is minimum top 2. Wade and Durant don't come close.

Yes I watched that game. I also watch the Laker's entire playoff run.
Kobe missed a lot of shots that game, but made up for it in rebounds / defensive play / offensive driving which resulted in a bunch of important free throws. He still had an instrumental roll in that game.
Everyone was also tired at that point. That was an exhausting 7 game series. The Celtics ran out of gas in the last 2 quarters. Everyone's legs were dead.
Feuds with Shaq? I'm not surprised, that was still 7 years ago.
Laker's management? All he wanted was better players to play with. They got him Gasol.
Phil Jackson? Again, years ago. Phil Jackson has had a fun time coaching Kobe to the last 3 consecutive NBA finals.

i'm not saying leadership intangibles and all that aren't important, but you have to look at it in perspective. lebron made an otherwise mediocre cavs team one of the top 3 teams in the east. kobe made a stacked team do what a stacked team is supposed to do. if you replaced kobe with wade or james the lakers would have the same number of championships this decade, if you put kobe in cleveland he would never win another ring in a million years. the other guys on the court do matter.
if you watch the games lebron clearly elevates his teammates more than kobe does with his. kobe has shown to be a better closer though i will grant you that.
We shall see in next 2-3 years who is definitively the better player.
Lebron couldn't hold his team together when it mattered the most. But Lebron didn't have Gasol or other clutch players either.
But we shall see next year if he is truly capable of taking the #1 spot with an NBA championship.
If he can't win it next year or the year after in Miami Heat, there's no more excuses for him, and he won't be a better player over all than Kobe.

If championships are everything then if Cleveland won last year I could make an argument that Shaq is the best player because 4 of the 5 championships that Wade, Lebron, and Kobe won they did with Shaq on their team lol
Championships are what matters most to the top dogs. If Lebron can't win a championship in Miami with top dogs around him, he won't be better than Kobe.
