i still dont agree with rose getting MVP, james / wade are better in every single statistical category
|
Thats not what its really about though... MVP doesnt necessarily mean best player/most points etc.
Drose definitely worthy I think Dwight Howard is probably 2nd lol... Orl without Dwight is like 11th/12th in the east which is pretty sad |

rose is a under-average defender, his feild goal % is very poor, hes just a high volume shooter due to the fact no one else on his team can create any offence for themselves. You can replace D-rose with Monta Ellis and not lose a step IMO |

I think Howard is by far the most valuable person to a team. Without rose the bulls could still make the playoffs. Without howard the magic are fucking horrible. |

Rose somehow became the consensus MVP so obviously I think that I may be missing something, but I completely agree with those who say Howard. I can name plenty of point guards as good as Rose on any given night. To have a center like Howard is completely unparalleled in the league. Unfortunately, the Magic have Nelson who I personally think is in the bottom tier of starting PG's in the NBA. |

clippers still sucked ass, even with griffin they finished 13th in the west. Can't give someone mvp if his team finishes that bad. |

yeah, I didn't mean he should win mvp. just that he is a more impressive player with worse teammates haha
for mvp my vote would go to durant, but howard seems reasonable |

Typical "i just watch box scores" comment right there.
a) Rose being a under-average defender is a myth and so 2009. If you watch him you can tell that the improved 200% and is now considered a top3 defender at the PG position. Only because Paul/Rondo make alot of steals doesn't mean they are good defenders. In fact they aren't very special because they gamble alot and therefore their team has to rotate the whole time just to make up for their gambles. Fun fact: Rose had more blocks this season then Lebron.
b) Rose = Monta? This is so silly and you should know better. Don't just look at FG%. Look at TS% etc and their total game. Rose is also a great closer. Something Lebron/Wade haven't done this season. Can you say 1 of 16 with 10 or less seconds to go?
c) Even if Wade/Lebron are better players than Rose, thats not what the MVP is about. |

Rose only gets about %40 oh his shots in, James gets over %50. Rose reminds me of Iverson, and Iverson sucks. If people stop fouling Rose he wont make any shots. Wade and Lebron have so much skill and talent and a wasted MVP was wasted on shit Rose. Wade gets 2-3 blocks per game, the man is insane. |

PUHHHHHHHHHHHH LEEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
monta ellis is more like d.wade both are more "pure" scorers"
ppl forget d.rose can pass :< blinded by his insane athleticism
but yeh, this coming from the biggest monta ellis fan.
btw is it ANY question at all that LBJ made the wrong choice going to miami? he prob could have won AT LEAST 3/5 in chicago with him and mini LBJ (rose). funny thing is they would have still had enough money to keep carlos boozer too
thats a fucking complete team
taj
boozer
rose
korver
deng
lbj
noah
nba is all about role players just ask big shot rob |

Per the MAN Bill Simmons:
Speaking of advanced metrics, if you're using them to make the case against Rose, I submit the following two lines:
Player A: 27.2 PPG, 10.1 RPG, 4.2 APG, 54% FG, 76% FT, 28.4 PER, 16.6 WS, 60% TS%, 1st-team All-Defense.
Player B: 29.2 PPG, 5.9 RPG, 3.8 APG, 48% FG, 81% FT, 26.3 PER, 17.1 WS, 55% TS%, 1st-team All-Defense.
+ Show Spoiler +
Who was better? It's close, but you picked Player A, right? Well ... those were the combined numbers for Karl Malone and Michael Jordan during the 1997 and 1998 regular seasons. You just picked Malone. Thank you and please drive through.

i'M kind of in your camp too, but i think it is absolutely irresponsible of you to put "shit" and "rose" next to each other.
tbh lebron james should win mvp for the next consecutive 5 years but once u win mvp they expect you to live up to it/exceed the previous year, obtaining mvp more than twice consecutively is impossible. plus tehy love to shop that award around |

excited for them next year, they got alot of solid pieces probably more solid than okc but less cohesiveness.
eric gordon
mo williams
b griffin
kaman
pretty close/arguably more talented than/to the okc core (durant, westbrook, perkins, ibaka, harden xD) |

Rose carrying Chicago is pretty fuckin impressive regardless of who's the best.
a team carrier is always in the running for MVP no doubt. Esp when that team does very well....Happy that someone else other than a stat queen got MVP this year. |

I think Ibaka is gonna be a huge star in the NBA if he keeps developing, he already has a 14 foot jumpshot, super athletic, great rebounder, shot blocker.
I'm calling Ibaka for future seasons (as a dark horse, obv guys like blake / wall are gonna be a front runners) |
