Waiiiit a minute. Loco I respect your game and all, but judging by the last paragraph it sounds like you just gave a half assed apology. If you were truly sorry then you wouldn't have written that.... But I guess this is better than nothing Honestly though, if I was Newblish I would tell you to suck my fat one. |

I don't see how it's an half-assed apology... respect is something that is earned... I'm stating he's far from having earned my respect but it doesn't justify my behavior so I am apologizing for that. I believe a lot of what I said had to be said, but not in this manner. |

I suppose i can accept this apology, though i do it with a grain of salt. The reason i say so is that what you are sorry for was an attack that was based on alot of false pretenses which has rippled around this site and made people believe a lot of things that are not true. That damage cant really be repaired.
You for example almost solely brought up things that were AT LEAST a year old and had only one recent "flareup" of me complaining (engage msn convo and a few hand histories). This of course ignored all the progress i made on this part of my poker game over months and months of time, which included - 1. Making no more complain blogs. 2. Not bitching until only one recent flareup in the midst of a 16+ BI downswing. I never understood how you didn't notice that i had made progress in this department of my game.
Anyway, you wrote: "I try to be a good man but I have my flaws"
I am no different. Only having played this game competitively for about two years i am still learning new things. I am trying to phase out my tendency to complain when in the midst of big downswings(even if it's been slowly). Eventually it will happen, because NO DOUBT it only hinders my ability to win in the long run. I, like you, have flaws(whether it be in poker or life, it doesn't matter). We are human and being human means you will make mistakes.
You would be surprised if you met me, i abide by a lot of similar principles that you do - When i shop i almost exclusively organic foods and believe that living a healthy lifestyle is the best thing you can do for yourself. I have bought/read many nutrition books and have taken some classes as electives in university. Hell my major was environmental studies(4 year honours degree), i wrote a 75 page thesis about environmentalism and happiness, i believe in nature and how nature guides us just as much as you do.
My point is i guess - Things are not always as they may seem when you have a narrow scope with which to depict someone like me. An online poker forum does not depict my behaviour as a whole and it certainly isn't representative of my outlook on life. So again, while ill accept your apology, because i realize everyone(me/you/anyone else) makes mistakes, i still think that the things you "think very little of me" for dont really have a good basis to stand by.

Well, it's not a half-assed apology, I don't really know how to articulate what I"m trying to say, but basically even though you "apologized" you are still sticking to your guns and saying that what you said needed to be said. Although I agree that newblish is kind of a baby when it comes to variance, I just figured you could have PM'd him and saved the drama. Even if your message was just like... "HEY -- KNOCK IT OFF!" Anyway, I just don't think you had to make another blog apologizing when it wasn't really an apology. |

I did notice that you haven't made more whine blogs in quite some time, but I didn't see this as an indication of an improvement. Rather, I figured you just learned that making those blogs didn't make you feel better at all and it was pointless to make them in public because the replies you were getting were pretty generic and often times insulting. Another important point is that when I saw your convo that I quoted, Engage told me you were actively talking like this on a regular basis. In other words I didn't jump to conclusions. I see the old blogs and I see that convo + your recent hands and I remark the same behavior from before and engage tells me it's almost a daily occurrence... how can you blame me for not seeing an improvement there? You might know for a fact that your bitching has diminished drastically but it's not like I'm keeping track of your daily behavior.
I really don't think we abide by a lot of the same principles. Just because you're interested in nutrition doesn't really mean much, you're also into bodybuilding if I recall correctly, so it only makes sense that you would eat a clean diet and have that interest. My concern is nearly always primarily with ethics and sustainability when it comes to food. But yeah, I don't doubt that we might have some similarities here and there...
I made a clear precision that if I think little of you it is over what I have seen of your behavior here. You shouldn't take any of it personally if you truly believe that this behavior doesn't represent you at all. Like I said earlier, I for one believe that our acts speak for who we really are... whether it's on a forum or in real life it is still a community and I take both seriously and I try to be as transparent and authentic as I can in both cases.

Indeed, this is not a common "I was wrong about you" apology, this is me apologizing for my behavior because it was wrong. Therefore I wasn't seeking an "apology accepted (or refused)" statement ... my reason for putting it out here is because it's the right thing to do. I'm apologizing to everyone, not just Newblish. My intent was to upset him with the blog, which was to be accomplished by making it public not PM'ing him, and is also why I'm apologizing. |

Oh believe me, i really dont take it seriously, nor do i take much else anyone says on here seriously. That's why i never post in the forums or participate in any 'friendly' debates on here.
Anyway, Engage and I on a daily basis tell each other how our days are going. But they certainly don't anywhere near as far as you think. I give him play by plays of some of my sessions(as does he), but they aren't complaining(other than the odd rare occurance which unlike before are rare to be seen)
Oh and - Ethics and sustainability with food is one of the most important topics i covered in my 4 years in university.
I hope this can be put to rest now. Seriously, it's not in my(nor your) best interest to continue with this anymore. I'm going to try and stop replying to all of this and just move on. |
