what kind of engineering is the hardest, easiest, has best job prospects, etc.

Civil engineering is the easiest & has the most jobs by far. Civil by percentage has the largest amount of government jobs ==> best benefits, retirement & easy as hell.

If you are going to a shitty/average college civil engineering is the way to go.

If prestigious school id go EE or compE

what about biomedical, chemical, petroleum.

Really don't know enough about those to comment, but im guessing petroleum engineer's made some nice overtime in the last few months...

I need to know before it is up in the air. We are talking about 1 and 1/2 tonne of weight. I think you would need some more details to actually work it out. At the moment we kinda guestimate, but if you need to change it, it is ALOT of work.
