coinflip.com has a link to partypoker big game which is pretty good since viffer is playing. I recommend the earlier weeks for the pokerstars big game when viffer is playing also.

it's a lot of marketing - he's good looking, from a (relatively) small country (so PS can use his face as a icon for dutch, something like that?), and legitimately skilled. pretty much had everything set in place imo, it'd be a lot harder from the states for instance.

Raszi is definitely one of the most marketable internet players. His 30k sessions and massive swings are obviously attention grabbing but it definitely helps that he looks marketable as well

Aaron Jensen has been the only loose cannon I have wanted to win. I hope Seiver gets more TV time cause I find that dude pretty funny. Raszi was a lot more out going in this TV appearance compared to his previous appearances that I can recall. Not that I want baal on TV but it would be pretty entertaining putting him on instead of Rousso.

Makes me think that Hellmuth is authentically having a incredibly hard time dealing with emotions rather than perpetuating an image for show/kicks. Look at how awkward the couch scene with Amanda is.
Also, is it just me, or is it pretty weird to hear the swearing uncensored in a poker game?

how many of you would call this?
seems like the most ridiculous fold ever. He has like <30 hands left and is down money (for those unfamiliar with the format, Loose Cannon gets freerolled $100k, anything they win they keep, loss is a freeroll - highest earning LC of the series gets $50k NAPT package - pot limit PF so he cant just start open shoving)
if he wins the pot he wins +$64k and can pretty much fold to victory + leading loose cannon which if he holds would net him a futher $50k NAPT tourney package.
if he folds, he has like $40k and needs to win more than $60k before he will net any winnings.

That Russian chick played good, just a 3-4 mistakes all 150 hands, all in one mini tilt during 20 minutes.
Raszi is well fearless, it seems almost at times that he is building his image on TV to get action later and plays proper LAG despite having such an aggro image.
The loose cannon played the previous week as well and got owned but lucky, but now he is on the level of the Russian chick Magnuss. Definitely a lot better live player than me by miles.
P.S. Raszi for the love of god, why would you teach Negreanu how to play poker

Because usually you don't see the ones that win preflop, the ones that fold preflop, the ones that win before the showdown and the ones that fold postflop?
Odds of someone at the table being dealt AA is something like 1:36 in a 6max game, and a lot greater if you include more pockets.

What are you talking about, he does this ALL THE TIME! This is his signature play, he doesn't do it to merge his ranges or anything. This was the first time he was lolowned with air on TV, previously he was really beat so it didn't look this retarded.
Watch where the buffalo roam on DC, in one episode they analyse ranges of villain who was a fish taking a simmilar line in a 3b pot, and they started by a comment 'What would Negreanu do'when putting him on a range xD
EDIT: It was on hsp 2 seasons ago almost with the identical hand, I won't spend time searching for specific links, Its like general knowledge that Negreanu loves to raise for information with medium strenght made hands.

What the fuck is wrong with Andrew Robl. He doesn't sound normal when he talks. Oh ya, and kick him the fuck off, Andrew is a boring player to watch and lolol folding that AJ hand. Bari's river over bet against Andrew was also retarded, and he's also a boring player to watch so fuk em both lol. Keep Tony, Razi, and the other online kid on for the next table. Only reason to have Daniel is so we can watch him spew off his chips to every player.

well its pot limit, so he couldn't shove preflop. I don't blame him. With the money won, he has financial security for his kids, I wouldn't put that on risk if I were a school teacher.

Its pot limit pre flop though , although i think he should have shiped KK when Williams had like a 25k stack and 4bet. Even if he lost he would still have over 100k profit.

he would have less profit and he would lose the NAPT passport and KK is way way more vulnrable than AA so i rather play the AA than the KK there.

fail, pot limit pre, best thing he could do was fold everyhand like he did, besides he already said that he won't play any hands, so if he suddenly decided to play with AA he would never get to showdown without facing an all in bet anyway, cant risk your whole bankroll when u got a 10 to 20% chance of losing

Oh yea i saw that. Hey it worked out for him he would of lost 100k if he played his aces, but i think he should of played his kings. David Williams only had like 30k or so i mean if he lost that pot he still would of left a 100k winner.

he should've played the KK because he could pot really big and everyone has to fold since it has to be AA always and he would pick up almost 10k

He's not a poker player though he's just a math teacher he doesn't know any better. He was just to scared thinking about the dollar value 30k to him is a years salary. Someone else said he would of just taken it down if he re potted it ...i dont think so david williams would have for sure called or re raised all in he was on tilt.

well u know williams like to run it a lot of times (as he did against the businessguy), he can pretty much get it in a dominant spot and still reduce variance significantly by running it 5 times or w/e...
williams had what, 25k?
he still was up around 140k at that point, and even if he busted against williams its still enough to win the lapt thing if he folds the rest
all these factors should make it an EASY repop, esp since you can run it many many times.

AA is a good fold actually, he is gonna have a really hard time postflop and will not be able to keep the pot small ever, even if the other guys have air they will put pressure knowing he has AA 100% of the time (same if he 3bets, he cant 3bet big enough)

if he's going to fold aa he should just not fuckin look at his cards in the first place, why put a little more stress on yourself knowing that you're going to fold whatever good hand, then you might see the board and find out that you could have flopped top set.
the fact that he's a college math teach w poker experience means that he SHOULD know better. but anyways whatever, we won't be seeing any of him ever again.

If they thought he had anything else they could still push him out of any pot, when he is up that much every dollar he puts in is money he is directly going to lose, so even a pfr means sooo much to him, and postflop he is only getting to showdown if he flops the nuts, so ez fold

Didn't someone say he should sit out and something like "Oh wait you have to look at your cards" saying it was the rules I think.
He had already won life changing money for him. No amount apart from a ridiculous figure could of made him any happier or excited. It makes no sense for him to take ANY risk even with the KK hand. It ceases to become a mathematical/statistical problem when you are dealing with life changing money. You could even define it as irresponsible if he continued to play.

He made the right call folding AA and KK.
You should know that 35k is about a year's salary for a teacher. One 3k pot is a month's pay.
Sure you can reraise KK against williams 30k stack, but you're forgetting that the business man is still to act and has him covered, so if he repops it to 15k and the business calls then what do you do. Now you're playing a pot that's 30k in size and can easily get you fucked against a station like the business man.
You guys are poker players and think EV is the only rational correct method of play but that's because you are in the long term business of EV decisions. The teacher will not have these future opportunities to even out variance. Even if he was offered 99% odds to bet all his money he wouldn't. If you can't understand that then you don't understand human nature, which is not solely a function of EV but is a multivalued function of things such as regret and utility. His utility function does not increase much from 130k to 200k. His utility function is very different between 30k and 130k.
I think it's sad to see all these posts saying the math teacher is an idiot because it really shows the warped mind of poker players who think everything MUST be +EV. I've made this point before but poker players are hypocrites. For example Baal you think every decision you make must be +EV and yet you continue racing cars which is probably one of the most -EV decisions you can make in life in terms of life expectancy/injuries.

He said it himself 140k was like 3 years of salary for him. Thats 47k/year.
Would you willingly risk 25k against Williams, a half year of salary, when you can run it how many times you want against a dominated range?
Yeah I understand his decision, but you guys are exaggerating as well. He could have won more at almost a "risk free" cost.
Only thing I get is that businessman is in the pot, but yeah very likely that the only guy that sympathize w/ the loose cannon goes apeshit when faced a 5-bet.

doesnt seem so weird in a vacuum but in the context of his position - free money with no rebuy and max 150 hand - bluffing at the start seems catastrophic. If it was like the last 50 or idk 30 hands then it seems better.

Lol Elky pwning Hellmuth.
Seems great when a fish transparently raises small for information on turn when overcard falls to just call and donk small on river, I don't use that enough.
EDIT: Lol@Hellmuth against the loose canon A9 v AK. Seriously he is a full blown fish.

Preflop is actually the most reasonable part of the hand, and its not as horrid as his call with A5 vs the lc from a few eps back imo.

what did he do thats so bad? I didnt catch it
anyway i 100% understand u want to see good players but i see how being tight/loose matters especially for people on this forum
hellmuth is super loose but i dont think theres anything interesting about it... galfond on an old season of HSP was tight but i thought it was fun to watch
just my opinion but i think its a shame that even the best players on these shows are forced to play more loose and spew just because viewers think thats entertaining... i would had liked to see how they actually play when they're trying to maximise their win

just cos helmuth made that move now some people think it's fishy. i think it's a great move. and by the turn helmuth put him on JJ - KK, (and maybe AA) for sure.
i mean what the fuck you gonna do if helmuth was bluffing, which is what he was trying to represent. and for sure helmuth knows everything but a straight checks behind here if he checks, so he donked.
edit: did he donk really quick at the river??? i think that move is brilliant.

I don't think Phil Helmuth's 44 hand was as bad as his stupid A9o preflop call after the loose cannon 3 betted him. and then Phil H. goes off to donk a9o 3 streets against the cannon when the flop was dry King high. I was kind of raging inside when it showed that Phil rivered trip 9's, Phil really really really deserved to lose like 50k on that hand, + even more tilting when it wasn't long after Phil was bitching about that hand where his trip queens got out boated.
I use to cut Phil some slack just because some of the other pros talk about how he's one of the nicest guys off the table but c'mon, shits getting ridiculous.

I agree,it's not wrong to assume that he'd get paid with a set,I was just correcting the ppl above me about preflop. What is horrendous is the rest of the hand and the reasoning he gave later.
It was along the lines of " I know he has something but I look so strong preflop and maybe I get the other guy to fold 99-1010 and then I should have bet turn and shoved any river but I didn't lol"
The A9 hand plan he had was also puzzling O_o

then what do you think exactly was going on in phil helmuth's mind during the hand? i am also assuming phil does this as a bluff with a random hand on a board like that as well, that is why i think it's good. put yourself in his opponent's shoes and pretend you can't see helmuth's cards.

Its really funny how the commentators always say 'Both must be unhappy that the Ace hit with Galfonds KK and Hachem's JJ' or 'UH OH Galfond would have hit tripps should he not fold his second pair NK on flop' and then discuss how pissed he must be, especially when you know how Galfond reacts in these spots if you watch his vids -.- + Show Spoiler +

I know this is/looks quite standard, but I am wondering if the loose canon is ever 5betting with 40k profit and 9 hands to go with AK/QQ/JJ. I personally think he wouldn't

Well on the show one of the commentators says it's AA/KK/QQ which is more likely than AK/QQ/JJ. The weighting I would say 99/0.2/0.8. I didn't get the impression that 'the bus' had gone into "must win NAPT mode" and looked like he had resigned to winning his ~40k. The only other thing that may have some influence is the bullying/bluffing from Hellmuth before and that everyone might be thinking he will fold easier so try to push him a bit more and hence 'the bus' could push back more with KK/QQ. But I doubt it.

Guys this dude was 85k up and he was still active and lost it back and din't play cautiously at all even though he should have in the previous episodes. That and the table talk and the fact that Fishman and the trophy were RIGHT THERE and everyone was talking about them made it likely that he has more normal ranges than you'd expect the previous cannons to have.
93% Sure!

I really really wanted The Bus to lose that cooler situation because of the way he showed his cards... I can't stand that, it annoys me when ppl do that, its like if they were meaning "IM SO GOOD I TRAPPED U!" asdasdasd
For the whole week I was liking him, he seemed to be playing well, making some obvious mistakes here and there but playing well overall for a LC standard... i was rooting for him... until that...

I know this is/looks quite standard, but I am wondering if the loose canon is ever 5betting with 40k profit and 9 hands to go with AK/QQ/JJ. I personally think he wouldn't
he's already got 10k in the pot so he's essentially risking 30k to win like 180k.. so I think his range is wider than AA with those kind of odds. It depends how much the money means to him but this guy seems like a big enough gambler that he's willing to risk his 30k profit to win a 280k pot

I'd agree with you almost every time but given the circumstances.. i'll cut the guy some slack.

The KK vs AA hand was pretty weird, I guess Jetten didnt know exactly how much was Bob up... He probably thought that he had around 25-30k in profit and I would definitely think Bob would do the same thing with QQ/JJ because if he had one of these hands and with only 6 hands more to go he would probably think there is not going to be a better spot to double or win big money, im not sure if he will do that with tens, probably not but AKs i think he would play it the same way...
If It was Bobs entire money I would imagine Peter to fold because when u get 5bet pot 350BBs is obviously AA but with just 6 hands more to go Peter has to think that Bob thinks that Peter is 4betting him light because he has to make moves soon so after thinking about it, I dont think stacking off there with KK vs Bob is a mistake... $40k in profit is sure a lot for Bob but Im going to stick to the idea that Jetten didnt know exactly how much Bob was up...

RasZi did you feel awkward standing there at the end when Amanda for some reason said 'Do you wish your brother was here?'
I mean seriously who even thinks about saying that to someone that just lost his brother and is currently on air on international television.. christ...

the bus even said that b4 the AA KK hand he was ready to "lock it up" (fucking fish term). anyways, i don't know why people are saying his range is wide there. He shoved all in with the nut straight/redraw and now he's doin the same thing with AA. I don't think he ever does this with ak or qq here. And cmon, him and his fiancee need money so they can get married and make tons of fish babies that our kids will pwn

Holy shit retards she said, "Do you believe your brother Joe was here with you?". Like watching over him play poker poker etc not "Do you wish he was here". One is standard and everyone asks it and one makes no sense to ask someone. Language barrier FTW I guess.

I knew she didn't say exactly what I wrote but mentioning his brother not being alive in any way is just asinine to me, what the hell @ doing that at what should have been a happy moment.

Amanda has a hard job. Sitting there in a freezing studio when she is like 90 lbs and half naked and having to make up stupid small chat at the start and end of each show. Maybe she has an earpiece that she gets her lines fed to her.. but it's still awkward to try to do closing interviews with an entire table of players in under 30 seconds. Last week after Daniel split a pot with Hachem with AA vs TT he said "ive never been so excited to get half my money back with AA" then Amanda walks up and says "Daniel, have you ever been so happy to get half your money back with AA?" They just need to cut all the bullshit talking parts from t.v. episodes. It's supposed to be a 1 hour program and we only get 30 minutes of poker..

Actually what she said was perfectly, fine, the old guy was ranting about his brother for minutes, even pulled out that random lottery ticket. Then started saying that his brother must be here now since he fucked up the lottery ticket, now his brother is helping him win this pokerstars thing. Asking him at the end, ,do you think he was? is not asinine, it is meaningful to what the old dude was already talking about/thinking

I agree, I wouldn't be able to do her job, it must be very annoying and she probably feels like she needs a more challenging job... I lol when theres a big pot going between two guys (remember the Ansky vs Hellmuth's KKvsQQ?) and the 4 other guys at the table run to Amanda and they all so excited start to tell her "omg I think he has XX, the way he played it and the way he bet, i think it has to be that or XX,XX,XX but I don't see how is he bluffing there"... etc, pretty much she is the person everybody goes and whines or brags to and she can't do anything about it lol

You don't think it makes people happy to believe that their loved ones are watching over them?
He brought it up (his brother) in the most random, out of nowhere way. He obviously wanted/or believed his brother to be a part of what will probably be a life changing moment. It's like when Tiger Woods father passed away and everyone says crap like, "Do you think he was out there watching on the course with you today?". It happens all the time.

I think he is committed to any hand he 3bets with. After the 3bet he has 30k in profit and he is risking it to win 180k in cash + the 50k passport. That's still great equity even if he is a 4 to 1 dog. Unless the money means a lot to him or he thinks he can find a better spot. He also made a pot sized 3bet a few hands earlier with TT and I don't think he would fold to a 4bet there either.

yes his range is only AA there, i dont think he commits with something like TT tho, he doesnt seems stationary, he hesitated before calling elky with trips and hellmuth with AK a lot.
Probably the best way to play KK there was to see a flop, not to fold vs AA just to not scare worst hands.
Regarding amanda, she is ok, she isnt the most gracious girl in the world and many she seems tired when somebody randomly talks to her and the camera switches to her however she is the poker show host ive seen more involved unlike that woman in PAD that is like totally detached from the game.

oh i meant his range ISNT only AA there when he pots it preflop however the KK might force him to fold a hand like JJ-QQ, he should have seen a flop to maximize value.
