Hey everyone, I never bothered to introduce myself back when I first joined right after christmas of 2005...hard to believe it has been more than a year since then. The name is Andrew and I started out playing home games/school trips where I just had an act for taking their money even though I barely knew what the odds for anything was. I was just a big fish until I started playing play money at pokerroom. There I met a dood who challenged me to play better and play with focus (even if it was just fake money) and he introduced me to Doyles "Super System". I read that and never looked back. I made millions of play money!!!! while I multi-tabled for hours each day until I eventually realized I was somehow was addicted to a free form of gambling...so odd and quit after spending like 5 months and like 100ks hands later.
I wanted to put real money online for a while but was too scared to use a credit card, then a friend of mine who is a TL whore sent me the link to this site. I hopped on the free promotion and raped some fish for awhile until I got stuck in a weird 4th dimension and actually took up raping the other type of 'fish'--I don't know what I was thinking. Poker fish might bitch and complain while you are sticking it to them but at least in the end you are getting monies instead of blowing it on some dumb broad who will eventually go clinically insane and you have to run for your life (I guess I may have some people confused. I was running for my life yes, but there were no police chasing me...). I decided to get back into poker last semester and sold some play money to saki for $10 and raped for a while until I got up to $25nl but had to suspend my play as my school marks were suffering. Since christmas I have played like 8 sessions, moved to fulltilt and dabbed around in the $50nl but mostly play $25nl FR after watching Daut's movie. It inspired me to get away from the SH shortstack shit tables and swing my wannabe bigballs around.
Other than that, I live in Freddy Beach, NB, Canada. In my spare time I like to build contemporary styled igloos, club baby seals and tag "eh" to end of anything that I am talking about.
NOTE: Due to the onset of global warming, my FAVORITE PASSTIME of building igloos is becoming more difficult because I lack snow. So I may fill in my free time with more fish raping. It's so much easier when you don't have to worry about freezing your ass off. |

Hi, I'm Eric.
There won't be many of these long winded posts on here by me I promise, but none the less, please forgive me, this one might be.
I've actually been around this forum and tl.net for quite awhile.
It all started out with chess. I was a very avid chess player, playing nothing but chess every chance I got. This was quite a long time ago, I'd say around a decade (9years?). I was blinded by my passion for the game, and I ended up putting a small BW curse on myself.
My roommates at the time who knew how much I loved chess, had found Starcraft. They came and told me how much I'd love this game, that it was my type of game and yadda yadda ya. All I saw at that time however was chess pieces. I even dreamed them. They never owned or played SC at home, they went to a internet cafe to play. They did have warcraft II at home and said how it was something like that. Well I played Warcraft II, and wasn't that impressed in the least with it compared to chess, so I was selfish and never gave SC a chance. After about 2 years, and living in a different state. I did start to feel the burn out of chess. I went to the store and bought 2 games, Halflife cuz it was game of the year, and SC/BW. When I felt burned out in chess, I did single player of both those games to get my mind elsewhere. I liked the story line ok in SC, but Halflife was a much more exciting game to me then than SC single player was. I ended up getting quite bored with both of these games single player, and decided to try online. Well as fortune had it, Halflife, for some reason I never did figure out, would not come up online, but SC did. I remember my first online SC game very well. I told my opp beforehand that this was my first game, and he was like really? It was a money map, he was P and me T, and he let me turtle, and completely surrounded me with cannons. I can not tell u how much in awe I was all of a sudden. He had done so much so fast. He asked me, "Did u learn anything?"
"Ohhhhhhhhh yes"
I learned I had then found a new game.
My love for SC was born. Finding out that it was a professional sport over in Korea, fueled my liking for it even more. I don't remember exactly how I found TL, but I did, and I remember reading about it alot there. It became my homepage. I got decently good but not great. My curse that I had brought about myself was now I could never find a LAN game, or people that lived near bye that were any good. It did not matter where I went, it just never seemed to fail. People "used" to play it, but now liked UT, CS, or War3 instead (which I've never played). It seemed like since I shunned out the game and the opportunity I had before with my roommates to actually play it irl with someone, I never got that chance again. I've never played SC with someone irl at or above my level.
I remember hearing on TL about some of the members getting really good with poker. At that time I didn't think to much about it. I remember hearing about LP being born, and even taking a peek and thinking it looked bland comapred to TL. I had no idea that I was lagging behind and this site would be of much more importance to me.
I joined the Army In 2003, and it looked like I was either goin to Iraq, Afghan, or Korea. Korea would of been awesome I thought cuz I've never done an Asian and then the BW scene of course. Anyhow, the unit I was put with, their main purpose was none of those places, it was Israel. My roommate at the time was a poker fan, and about a year ago, we had a poker tourney on post that was 20$. I had played cards here and there all my life, and thought that I was naturally decent. The little home games I played with friends I'd more often than not wake up hungover with a cup full of change. So I decided I'd spend my Saturday trying it with friends of mine and have some fun. I ended up doin better than anyone else in my unit, and getting 6th, and it was on after that. The poker bug had bitten me.
I wish my story went like some other of u naturals, where I borrowed 5 bucks to turn into thousands, but its nothing like that. I didn't employ any poker discipline as it was just fun to me and I had the money.
Well about a year later, and a grand or so online, my Army experience for now has come to an end (unless I get called back) and I'm back into "the real world" if u will as a semi broke college student. I've been reading posts here for about the past year (this is my homepage now and really think that I could make a living playing online instead of getting some real job. Being back into college, my bankroll right now is nowhere near where it was, so if I want to play poker, I have to actually start taking it a lil more serious, especially online.
So in a nutshell, I decided that if u guys will have me, I'm gonna start posting here alot more, and working on getting my game to the level where I know it could be. |

Hello all. I am new to this site. A few people that play on the same site as I do created a blog here so I decided to do the same. Looking to just log my activities here and read others habits for poker. Prob dont play as many hands as the college folks do, I have to do this thing that you will have to do after the fun time is over, WORK.
I've been playing for a little over 2 years and really now focus solely on NL 6 max (100 at the moment). Have money on the big 3 for US players, but you will find me on UB playing in the evenings. Total poker roll is up to 3175 and I would like to hit 4000 by April. |

My name is Edwin, from UK but is chinese ethnic. Have just started playing poker, usually playing tournament as they are more fun. Have never played sc at a high level but love to follow the pro scene. Did play age of empires to a decent level but didn't try to qualify for the wcg as they gave us gay dates which I had to attend school and I was only around 14 at that time which didn't give me much chance to make a stand against my parents. |

HI.
I played Starcraft 2003-2005. I was prettry newb all the time (D+ 50% ratio ^^) at broodwar though it was lots of fun.
in 2006 i realised that i need some extra money since i started to study at university
Due to having 12-15h intensive sports every week at University ... i couldnt do a job that requires any kind of physical stress.
My body needs all the free time to recover from the intensive training i have to do at university.
Thats when i said to myself : Why not strat with Poker ? It cant be that hard at small stakes.
I bought some Poker books ( crushing low limit with expert play , weighting the Odds and some others ) and studied them for almost a month. Then i strated with online Poker
I think am doing pretty well and achieved my aims.
making + 200 $ month average with Poker ( only playing 250-400 hands/ 1-2 hours a day) |

im new to this forum and no one really replies to me, hopefully that will change as people get to know me =(
ive tried posting to many hand discussions to try and help
I was a 5/10 player who is on the worst run of his life and dropped to 2/5 to 100NL (euros) and joined this forum because i am so confused and have no idea what to do. im playing 100nl now that my BR has been halfed to ~60k BR and im waiting for this bad run and making bad mistakes after a couple bad beats to stop. ive learned that i actually have no idea how to play ABC poker because i was a lagtard euro at higher limits. SO im hoping people on here can help me out with the lower limits and palying tighter (27/21/2.5 at the moment which is much tighter and less agg then i was)
I actually just joined FTP so i should be playing vs some of u soon |

I never introduced myself. I am Pat. I have been friends with rainkhan for a long time, and he introduced me to the LP ventrilo server, and ultimately LP. I used to be 2p2 as well(still sort of am, but those forums are garbage lately). I play 1/2-5/10. I hate tournaments. I tilt easily. I am single. I like poetry, long walks on the beach, unicorns, and rainbows. I also have a mancrush on daut44, holla |
