Just recently signed up and hoping to be an active member on the forums

I've played live/online poker semi-seriously on and off for several years but took a 4-5 year hiatus being busy with everyday life. I am deciding to return as a semi-serious hobby again and to exercise my mind (which is much needed) since I now have a bit of free time.

Hoping to contribute to the forums and learn some new things along the way.

Hey everyone,

im Andrei and quite passionate about poker; been following it for quite a while and just started taking it more serously, studying every poker book out there, i love the amazing depth of the game.

I am actually quite disappointed I must say, because I live in Berlin (Germany) and after having discovered some cool streamers and got into the game quite a bit, and got really hyped and passionate about it, I recently tried to find out if its actually allowed legally for me to play online poker here (seems that the law in Germany is different in every Bundesland) so I contacted the local Gluecksspielaufsicht, and got the answer that its forbidden and punishable.

But I love the game because it's so complex and requires nerves of steel (which I dont really have but I am working on that ) and so I still play poker, just not for real money.

I sometimes think I should travel to Austria for like a month, and play there. I've read online poker is allowed.
