i have to disagree with you here Ket.
It is much much harder to be a high stakes winning player than is to get a degree, everybody gets a fucking degree ffs, unless you are a certified moron all u need to do is warm ur seat and dont be huge idiots and thats it.
I didnt graduate but i studied 2 years of mechanical engineering and it was stupidly easy not remotely as challenging as poker has been in every way.
So many of my friends graduated and now have fucking master degrees and i am 100% certain they wouldnt be successful at poker.
PS: before somebody brings the "lol mexico" card, my friends have master degrees in european universities |

Yes Baal I am sure it is "stupidly easily" to attain a 1st from a top university in a difficult subject. Competing against a class-full of hard working straight A students for 3-4 years is a cake walk.
They're different skillsets required anyway it's like comparing juggling to riding a unicycle and saying one is 'easier' than the other. They also both require different types of intelligence - I assume you are smart enough to be aware of such a concept beyond the inherently vague term 'intelligence'.
Regards. |

No university in HK is a top university and it is far from a difficult course stop exaggerating. Actually they are similar skill sets except poker goes one level further and requires psychology emotional toughness instead of just dedication hardwork and a competitive nature. |

This is pretty pathetic. When a member of the community leaves, the least you can do is say "good luck" if you're going to post here.
And on that note, good luck to your studies, don't listen to the naysayers. Do what you think is best for yourself. |

Being in a top university isn't exactly equivalent to having a tougher time than in a somewhat less famous university.
Also: I agree with Baal, getting a degree isn't that hard.
I'm trying to get back into poker, but it's gotten way tougher and I don't know if I still have the energy for it. Oh well, wish you good luck studying |
