You didn't put in protection/getting them off their equity.
The 'vbet only if they call a worse hand' 50% of the time' doesn't apply if their air type hands that fold have 20%+ equity.

i.e. I'd be more inclined to cbet 77 on K22 than JJ

you should probably be cbetting JJ on K22 if you aren't btw.. not sure if your example indicates that you are not doing that as a standard..

How can you say that, standard against what kind of opponent, how many opponents what holdem game and what positions?
