Honestly micro stakes and low stakes are FILLED with giant massive donks and infinity horrible regs that will never improve. The key to CRUSHING those limits is playing a tighter then optimal strategy and make tight folds. Generally the philosophy is that players at the lower levels do not know how to exploit tight players, they dont have the "lines" to punish tight players, which is why those games will always be beatable regardless of the high rake-to-buyin ratio.
Personally I played NL1000+ and I had my fair share of success but after taking a prolonged break from online poker i was not good enough to beat the same games so i had to move down to low stakes and start from bottom. At first I did not have a lot of success because I had the wrong mentality going into the game, i was trying to play optimally and balanced like a NL1000 player, but thats the biggest set back that higher stakes players have, they get stuck in a mentality of a high stakes player and they apply themselves universality through-out. |

Agreed with Casino, I think everyone knows that tho.
I'm playing NL25 and I've been coached by a NL1k reg and I've gotten some help from NL200+ players and it's like alright thank you guys but I can't use any of the stuff you told me down here.
Oh that's a good flop to c/r with air. And that's the best turn card ever to second barrel, and he's betting so large on river that only the second nuts would call, definitely a bluff because I can't possibly have a good enough hand to call that bet int his situation. Easy call with second pair imo... Oh, aces full... |
