And yea, I know that sounds harsh and it's probably not true but I really got annoyed with people a few days ago. I have this "buddy" whom I've known for a very long time and been somewhat close too. He's never been the kind of guy I've trusted with important emotional shit really, but still someone I'd hung out with more then almost anyone else for a lot of years. I was ranting to him about how I considered one of the girls he knows a piece of crap for apparently having cheated on some guy and stated that I found it appalling how his other friend always made jokes about cheating on people in a way I considered more then a little bit offensive. I've got nothing against sexual promiscuously at all (fuck, my favourite book is "Stranger in a Strange Land", and I don't mind people joking about pretty much anything unless the situation calls for some class, but cheating on people just plain sucks.
Instead of the usual nod and "yea yea, that sucks man" I assumed I'd get as a reply he says something about how her bf apparently wasn't used to being in relationships and didn't really put up enough of an effort in some areas and then he goes quiet. I decided to shut up since I did recognize that it was probably in poor taste to question someone's friend's moral character without knowing all the facts.
At a party for my buddy a few days later some girls are joking about how they all slept with him and someone makes a "funny remark" about how he's so weird and why did they sleep with him. One of them says that "yea well, back in blablabla I used to love him a little bit". I'm slightly intoxicated but something feels weird. Then it dawns on me that he had a long time gf at the time, so I joke right back about that. I still don't really know if I believe it but three people, two girls he's slept with and his own brother, stated more or less that he did cheat on this girl. I never really got to know her, and as far as I can remember I thought fairly poorly about her, but it still just sucks.
I guess I should just leave it alone, because I don't care enough about him to actually feel that it's super important that he knows when I don't approve of shit, and in a month or 6 weeks I won't spend as much time with him any more for various reasons I can't do much about. I've done a lot of less then honourable things. I once slept with a fat chick and jumped out of her window while she was sleeping. At one point I kept sleeping with some girl just because "she'll leave the country soon, so I don't have to worry about it". I'm fairly sure I hurt one girl, even though I for the life of me can not figure out how (she was from another country and I think it was a cultural thing). But as far as relationships goes I've never hurt someone other then by mistake. And during the sorts spans when I've been in relationships, I've never cheated.
But on the other hand there's a lot of beautiful things in the world. I guess I should focus on that.

but yeah definitely agree on the whole cheating thing. one of my best friends was cheating on his gf (a semi-old acquaintance/friend of mine) with her best friend (who is kinda emotionally fucked up) while her best friend was dating a guy that my friend and i used to be really good friends with. no idea what the situation is now but i lost a ton of respect for everyone involved, and ended up feeling really bad for my friend's now ex-gf even though i didn't really like her that much to begin with. the sick thing is i don't think she knows the whole thing even happened and still hangs out with the friend who fucked her boyfriend while they were dating. just blows my mind how someone can be in a relationship and have the indecency to sleep with someone else other than they girl/boyfriend...if you don't want to be with a person, just break up with them? doesn't seem all that difficult to me but what do i know

I've never cheated on my girlfriends and probably never will but I don't see nothing wrong with cheating unless its done to me. Even if I was cheated, I would blame more on my self for dating a slut and not being enough of a boss to let her think cheating me would be fine.
I think it's wrong to judge others when they're doing you no harm. It's simply a different approach to living life. My dad has never cheated on my mom and I respect that so I'm approaching life in similar ways so I don't form a bad habit for my future marriage. That said, I truly believe cheating is +ev in life long as you don't get caught. It's pain in the ass to be fully committed to one girl when you're sexy as fuck.

Most men (and I'm being generous here) don't cheat because they usually don't have a gorgeous babe throwing herself on their feet asking for a quickie.
I'm fairly certain that you can't easily explain a concept like that to a woman that you're interested in forming a relationship with,in order to avoid the possibility of being dishonest in the future.
People say lies to each other all the time to form their romantic relationships,they even lie to themselves (or don't understand themselves well enough) and make commitments that are in all probability impossible to hold. So yeah,people suck ,but not because they cheat,but because they can't relate to each other without sugarcoating everything.
ps I haven't cheated anyone to date but it's probably because the persistent gorgeous babe scenario hasn't materialized (yet!!)

1) Loyal boyfriend who do not cheat but isn't super nice. Romantic relationship you once had died over time since guys are animals who get too used to/sick of being with one girl. He's par on everything and doesn't fulfill your dream of shining knight in armor.
2) Cheater boyfriend who you have no idea and thinks he's super loyal. He's the best any girl can ever wish for and fulfills all your loving wishes even more so since he is feeling guilty of banging other chicks. He makes your life happier then you can ever imagine.
It's hard not to cheat when the girl is hot enough, knows you made some sort of connection makes a solid move and reads you well. A hot attractive girl is extremely hard to resist if she knows how to play her cards right - I used to judge a friend of mine a lot about this till I cheated myself.
Number 2 is all based on a big lie so I dont think its a no brainer. I also dont think its wrong to judge people that cheat as its like the ugliest thing you can do to someone in a relationship and therefore this person probably isnt as honest to other people aswell. And lol about making a difference between cheaters that get caught and those who doesnt both suck. Just get a girl thats cool with a open relationship or get along with one night stands whats the point in cheating people behind their back?
