.... but of course, now we realize that we are better off with the dictator running things here. the economy was so much better.

thank god for poker. else i'd be working in an office somewhere for 200 usd a month like everyone else. and this is a decent starting income for most who graduated in a university.

sucks no?

you give no info on before/after, everywhere sucks to work in the world except a few places.

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time

well... in history books you can read that it was so bad. "we are not free.. etc, etc..". but according to my dad, he said everything was going ok and the economy was good. prices of food and other basics were fair. the people should be happy. also one thing he said was that the enemies of marcos (the dictator), who were some of the elite were pulling strings to take him out of power. like they wanted it to be their turn to run things and hoard money.

so after he was taken down. it was a downward spiral. they say that marcos was corrupt? well the people who took over and the ones now are a thousand times more corrupt. this is the bottom of the barrel for us. and it just gets harder and harder every passing day.

It's actually almost tear jerking to watch the demos in actions.

it's pretty badass to watch people pick up the tear gas grenades and throw em away. lolol
