I've heard estimates of the Mubarak's family estate being worth ~80 billion USD, wonder how much of that he had in swiss accounts lol.

You of course are a lawyer and have studied the Swiss bank legislation which is the most complicated one in the world?

Not saying they can or can not freeze all of his money but it certainly appears they can do something since they decided to announce action.

Just hope the next leader isn't as crazy as the first.

it is inspiring! in 1986 the philippine dictatorship was taken down through a 4 day "people power" lead by a house wife.

.... but of course, now we realize that we are better off with the dictator running things here. the economy was so much better.

well... in history books you can read that it was so bad. "we are not free.. etc, etc..". but according to my dad, he said everything was going ok and the economy was good. prices of food and other basics were fair. the people should be happy. also one thing he said was that the enemies of marcos (the dictator), who were some of the elite were pulling strings to take him out of power. like they wanted it to be their turn to run things and hoard money.

so after he was taken down. it was a downward spiral. they say that marcos was corrupt? well the people who took over and the ones now are a thousand times more corrupt. this is the bottom of the barrel for us. and it just gets harder and harder every passing day.
