I am deeply saddened to announce that on Friday, April 20, I respectfully withdrew from the May 26 event so that I can request a continuance until my situation with the Nevada State Athletic Commission is resolved.
I cannot express how sorry I am to the Commission, Junior Dos Santos, the fans, the owners and employees of the UFC, my friends and family and anyone else who this has affected.
I absolutely do not believe in, nor do I use performance-enhancing drugs. I am a clean fighter and I will do whatever it takes to prove this to everyone.
Prior to the UFC 146 press conference in March, I aggravated an old rib injury on my left side. My doctor prescribed, and I accepted, an anti-inflammatory medication that was mixed with testosterone. I was completely unaware that testosterone was one of the ingredients in the medication. Although I was unaware, I do realize it is my job to know what I am putting into my body.
I respect the Nevada Commissioners and Executive Director Keith Kizer and what they are doing to keep
the sport of mixed martial arts regulated and safe for athletes. I look forward to working with them in the days and weeks ahead.
Friends and fans, I ask for your patience as I work through this matter. Please support me. I promise to return to the Octagon soon.

Since Gabriel Gonzaga is fighting Roy Nelson, Shane del Rosario's (11-0, 8 KO/TKO) new opponent is Stipe Miocic (8-0, 6 KO/TKO) aka the young CroCop.
If Shane isn't terrible from the car accident, I think Shane > Stipe.
----------
UFC 146 main card
Junior dos Santos vs. Frank Mir
Cain Velasquez vs. Antonio Silva
Roy Nelson vs. Gabriel Gonzaga
Mark Hunt vs. Stefan Struve
Shane del Rosario vs. Stipe Miocic

Best fight of the card imo.
But no matter what they do, it's never gonna be the same without JDS vs. Reem and Cain vs. Mir.

JDS vs Mir line opens at JDS -500 Mir +300.
I feel like there is good value on JDS here. I really can't see Mir not getting murderized in the first. His takedowns suck, his chin is pretty suspect, and while he has ok stand up JDS has an iron chin. I really can't see him winning other than JDS making a big mistake of jumping into his guard.
I'm often wrong about these things though.

Mir
- Slow.
- Boxing sucks.
- Chin isn't suspect, it's probably the worst or top 2 worst in the Heavyweight division, but those guys could KO most men, so I'm not hating.
- I think he does some low kicks, but he's slow with those too.
- Take downs suck, the only way he can get you down is if you clinch with him, then he will use his massive size to trip you. So, he does have good trips I guess, if you clinch.
- Record: 16-5 (3 wins by KO/TKO, 9 wins by Submission)(5 losses by KO/TKO)
JDS
- Fast.
- Boxing is good.
- Can take a punch.
- Doesn't kick.
- Doesn't take you down.
- Record: 14-1 (10 wins by KO/TKO, 2 wins by Submission) (1 loss by Submission)
sure Mir is a big dog but i am not convinced of a big edge at -500, its a heavyweight fight and he has KO power and can submit him, obviously JDS wins most of the time but i think Mir can catch it from time to time

most of the guys mir faught werent like this match vs jds. i kind of like mir getting sick odds if jds comes out sloppy/lazy b/c he just won the belt. jds got tagged plenty of times by roy nelson when they faught so id think if mir connected hes got a better shot at dropping jds. no way in hell id never -500 let alone -300 in this kind of a fight where the under is probably juiced heavily. who knows what will happen man, b/c Mir is like the most undervalued heavyweight right now so we'll have to see
