fighters mysteriously started getting hurt
I think its got more to do with the fact that the UFC started providing insurance to their fighters, pretty much right after they announced that injuries at least tripled, im not saying fighters are faking it, its just that they dont have to fight while injured like most of them did before they were insured.
Poker chobo.

- Jose Aldo out of UFC 153 featherweight title main event with Frankie Edgar. (Aldo was reported as being injured sometime last week, so not surprised to see this. Edgar said he still wants to fight at UFC 153.)
- Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson hurt, forced out of UFC 153 co-main event vs. Glover Teixeira. (Rampage is scared, obviously.)
- Vladimir Matyushenko injured; Roger Hollett back in to meet Matt Hamill at UFC 152.
LOL at Silva vs Bonnar, Anderson won't fight Weidman who is a very deserved #1 contender at 185, but steps up to fight a mediocre over the hill 205er. At least Bonnar is going to get paid, he said he wanted big fights and he probably deserves it for what he has done for the UFC. I hope its not going to be similar to Silva vs Forrest, that was pretty bad.
Not realy excited for Glover vs Maldonado and Nog vs Sasquatch. Pretty shitty card compared to what it was supposed to be, at least its not getting canceled lol.

^ Everyone always wants to see Anderson fight more often, and Bonnar has striking skills and a good chin. Anderson will win, but we should see some nice exchanges. It will also be 3 rounds only, not 5. Bonnar was begging for a big fight to retire on, so expect him to give it his all and retire after this no matter what. Since there's nothing to lose for both guys, I see this as being exciting.

- Eddie Alvarez vs. Patricky Pitbull headlines Bellator 76 on October 12th at Caesars Windsor, Canada.
- Alan Belcher vs. Yushin Okami at UFC 155.
- Chris Leben vs. Karlos Vemola at UFC 155 in Las Vegas.
- Bellator heavyweight champ Cole Konrad retires, status of belt unknown.
- UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva's sponsorship deal with Nike goes from Nike Brazil to Nike Global.
lol what are you talking about, its not an even fight but its going to be a super entretaining one, i see some Forrest vs Silva ownage here except that Bonnar wont go down teatrically to run to the locker rooms crying like a bitch, he will die on the canvas.
Weidman is good but beating Munoz and Maia (not even middle weight anymore) doesn't prove it. Munoz I pretty much don't rate at all (his wins just aren't impressive to me) and Maia unfortunately is pretty much the same. He may "technically" be the next in line but to me based on the fights he has had just seems undeserving. I think many people are buying into the noise created by his camp.
It's kind of depressing IMO that the top of middle weight division consists of Munoz, Weidman, Bisping, Stann etc. Shit you could make a case for no. 1 contender to be Boetsch really over any of those guys...BOETSCH FFS. It just seems like a bunch of gatekeepers to be the next gate keeper to lose to Anderson. The joke is that those gatekeepers are the top of the division (minus Sonnen).
I'm looking forward to Bonnar vs Silva and agree with ball that it should be (hopefully) entertaining. The fight doesn'tt mean shit but who cares I want to see it. Just like I wanted to see Sonnen vs Bones and now Belfort vs Bones, neither of which made any sense either.

^ People shit on Boetsch cuz he's not a big name, even the UFC wont give him a title shot cuz nobody knows who he is, even though he keeps winning fights. I'd take Boestch over everyone aside from Anderson/Chael/Weidman at 185. I only think Chael/Weidman would beat Boetsch cuz their wrestling is so good and Boetsch doesn't work good off his back, even though he has some wrestling skills too, but it isn't on the same level as Chael/Weidman to defend the take down.
Edit - Chael is a Light Heavyweight now (205), so I guess I see Boetsch as #3/#4 off the top of my head. I do think Lombard should have beat him, but he fought scared or something, not sure exactly. Bisping is actually a better fighter than Boetsch, I always forget about him, so I think right now we have Anderson>Weidman>Bisping>Boetsch.
Rekrul is a newb

^^ I really want to see Bonnar put up a fight. Or Silva trolling with behind the leg heel kicks.

i think boetsch is terrible and just got extremely lucky to be even considered in lists for top10 middleweights. yushin destroyed him minus 1 lucky strike and lombard looked awful, no idea wtf happened with lombard, neither of them looked anywhere near top10.
