See for football, baseball, hockey, soccer, basketball, tennis, etc. the target audience is everyone. That's the difference between a mainstream sport and a fringe sport. |

UFC officials today announced that UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones suffered a “leg injury” in training and has been forced to withdraw from the highly anticipated UFC 178 headliner opposite undefeated contender Daniel Cormier. The bout has been rescheduled for UFC 182, which takes place Jan. 3 in Las Vegas.
A flyweight title fight between current champ Demetrious Johnson and Chris Cariaso, which was expected to serve as the co-feature of this month’s UFC 177 event, will now be the main event of UFC 178. |

Exactly... obviously it being too violent is not an issue with people who like combat sports but the general public, actually I personally know many ppl who dont like it because they think its too violent |

Greg Jackson: Jon Jones injury a result of training with Alistair Overeem.
"It's part of the game, it wasn't like ... somebody went for a flying kick and dislocated [something]. Somebody went for a takedown, [Jones] stepped the wrong way, twisted the wrong way and down he went. He was fighting it, and he just twisted it. And then it just popped. Alistair's maybe 240, Jon's 220. It's not like he was working with a giant moose. It was just one of those things." |

IIRC Golden Glory and Blackhouse have both accused Overeem of going way too rough in training and hurting people often. Wonder if that's the case here or it's how Greg said it. |

Put it this way... if he blatantly went way too hard, he'd be out of Jackson's yesterday. |

What about the fact that Greg Jackson said Overeem is "maybe 240." He's been losing weight and getting more lean since he's been with the new gym. Hopefully it helps his cardio a bit, although I don't expect his fight versus Ben Rothwell to go past 1.5 rounds, win or lose. |

Not really. It's really hard to quantify what's going to hard. Especially to the point of throwing someone off the team. More likely they'd chalk it up as a mistake, stress to Overeem to be more careful, and be more cautious with pairing up LHWs and under with him.
@ Baal. Camera angles and clothes and stuff. Overeem is significantly bigger than Jones obviously. |

He is more muscular but Jones lookes taller and longer, which is crazy considering Overeem is one of the biggest heavy weights |
