Don't get too hyped about Fedor. He s 38 years old and has been 3 years inactive, do you think he stands a chance against anyone good?

Dave Meltzer, one of the best in business, says it's a 1-off, so it's not like he's gonna make a run.
The only fight in the UFC that makes sense to me is him vs Anderson Silva at 205.
MAYBE Frank Mir at HW.
He's not gonna take a fight against a real beast like a Cormier or even a 2015 Arlovski.
I think he goes to Bellator, which would be pretty gay.

You really think Fedor would dodge Arlovski? I think any of the rematches with guys he's already fought would be good (including Werdum). Cain and JDS might be a bit much for him though, and it would be too sad if he fought Mir or Overeem and lost.

I don't think he'd 'dodge' Arlovski I just don't really see his motivation for taking that fight. He already beat him and that's clearly a really hard fight at this point that you'd have to imagine he'd more than likely lose.
If I was him I'd want to fight Werdum if I was gonna take a legit top opponent, but the UFC would never give him that shot even though we'd love to see it, because if he won and retired it would be a disaster. I guarantee if he goes to the UFC, it's either: Mir, Rampage, Silva (my fav), or winner of Barnett v Big Country.......... MAYBE Couture comes back for a money grab since UFC still has him locked up (ideal easy big name fight for Fedor)
I really think he's just gonna go to Bellator - he's got the relationship with Coker and it's obviously just a money-grab if its a 1-off, so he'll take the easier opponent I imagine (Tito or Lashley probably).

Fedor is a terrible matchup for Werdum... he should still be superior on their feet, he is a better wrestler and a pretty good grappler too.
This is obv assuming Fedor isnt totally out of shape

I watched a lot of Fedor fights from Pride, and then I saw the ones he all lost. I really think he has a lot of problems fighting in the cage. In pride there seems like there is more room for Fedor's quick agility to escape trouble if he gets hit hard, and also more room for him to create different angles. He really looks like a totally different athlete inside the octagon, it takes away his biggest strengths, which I think is being a freakishly quick footed agile big man. I would bet against him pretty quickly in any octagon match against a decent opponent. Sucks cuz I love the way he fights. I think he has a weird body type that makes it so his hips are really flexible or something to do with quick hip movement.
Edit: I just looked it up, and the octagon is bigger sq footage than the pride ring. Seems like this gives advantage to Fedor because a smaller area favors striking, and PRIDE refs would stand up fights off the ground quickly if the fighters got close to the ropes or weren't active enough.
