Dos Anjos is the underdog now in most sites : O. I will wait and hope to get better odds and bet a ton on Dos Anjos.

I expect RDA to be a favorite on most sites come fight night, just like with the Aldo fight, so If you want him at + odds you should place your bet a little earlier.
Don't think it is a good idea , though. Conor will destroy him, imo.

Why do you think that? The line has moved drastically towards Conor. It opened -160 and +130, and is now -105 and -115.
Despite thinking RDA should be a big favorite, I like both guys and don't mind if either win. Honestly Conor winning might be my biggest HOLY SHIT moment in MMA, just because of what he would of accomplished so quickly.
Only thing that would really upset me is another quick KO. I wanna see at least 2-3 rounds.
Hey Im slinging mad volume and fat stackin benjies I dont got time for spellin n shit - skinny pete

Most big bettors wait for the final weeks before placing their bets. I think "smart money" will be on Dos Anjos from the big guns and the line will move in his direction just like it happened with Jose Aldo. Aldo was at like +140, 10 days before the fight and finished at -110/120.
As for the match up I have big confidence in Mcgregor. I think this will be one of the last times, where we will be able to get him at such a good price. The guy still is going to be huge for the division, with a lot better movement, distance, power and fight IQ than RDA. Dos Anjos pressure will not work so well on Conor, who will stand his ground and fire counters from different angles, unlike Pettis who backs himself to the cage when pressured.
The only thing that worries me is the wrestling, but RDA is not a very dominant grappler. I think Khabib Nurmagomedov is a tough match up for Mcgregor, but against RDA he will shine.

Random question
Why are Ken Shamrock and Royce Gracie fighting @ Bellator 149 ? And by why I mean I know both guys are supposedly legends in the sport, but they are 50 years fucking old what the fuck ?

Bellator essentially grab whatever fighter they can that the UFC doesn't want, but that still has drawing power. Those 2 are definetly exactly that. I will watch it.
james9994: make note dont play against floofy, ;(

Random guy sees Shamrock and Gracie are fighting > nothing to do on a Saturday night > fuck it, I'll check out these guys I've heard of before.
They both suck at modern MMA, but their names still have drawing power. Not much, but some.
Even Kimbo Slice still have a large casual MMA following.

I watched the ufc 197 presser and for the first time I felt McG was off his game. I didn't laugh at anything he said. He was saying the same stuff except with worse delivery. I don't know, I just hope he seems a little bit more "stable" in the crazy sort of way he is. He just seemed weird in the presser, and that just won't work in getting Dos Anjos to treat this fight differently than the rest. I think that is where McG's strength lies, in making fights seem to be something much different in the build up than the other fighter has ever felt.
Some say he was on Drugs, I don't know.... he was all twitchy and was over the top all the time. Nothing he said came out in a nice calm nonchalant voice that would extremely offend Dos Anjos, which I think is his best way of getting under an opponent's skin.
just playing live poker for fun

Well don't know about that, but its fairly obvious that his act is always the same, same concept, different words( except the tearing "his head off " part, thats what he s been saying since at least Siever till now for his every opponent) . Not really entertaining if you notice that and know its all bs. As a fighter it would be pretty dumb to get all mad at him too, no matter what he says, as this will lead to uncontrolled aggression and thats exactly what he wants so.. Still unsure if thats what got Aldo or was it just a " fluke "
Either way just ignore all of that media crap. The fight will be good for sure, there s no need to search for small edges for this guy or that guy cause of something he said

This is exactly why it's entertaining. We know it's all BS. Yet his opponents go apeshit over it.
And it's what got Aldo for sure. McGregor got in his head. Now I think Aldo fears him because of it. Kinda like in poker where you avoid certain opponents because they're just too tricky to deal with.

I like this fight a lot more than Werdum - Cain. This Velasques title shot was the biggest joke lately in the ufc. The guy fights once a year, comes back and is demolished completely and gets instant rematch.
Too bad Stipe is taking this fight on just 2 weeks notice. If he gets close to +300, I'll be on him for sure. He has good cardio and chin, good wrestling so he can avoid the ground game and is a lot better than Velasquez from outside range. His movement is better than Werdum's and he can cause him big troubles standing and has shown that he can stick to a gameplan.

Yep, its one of the things that pisses me off about the UFC , their politics around match ups are straight fucked up.
I'm fairly sure that this is it for Valasquez, he s like 33-34 ( too lazy to check ) and gets injury after injury, really doubt he can stay at the top of the MMA game and even if he does I doubt its gonna be long. Would be cool of JBJ goes straight to heavyweight and starts demolishing ppl, but I'm guessing he ll receive his UFC 19x whatever is in April title shot for LHW, probably negotiating contracts and such
