New rule in MMA.

http://www.mmafighting.com/2016/8/2/1...-to-mma-scoring-criteria-new-rules-in

A fighter now has to have BOTH hands and both feet on the ground (or another body part) to qualify as a grounded fighter, if they don't their opponent is allowed to kick or knee them to the head.

the biggest change is that they have been instructed to score 10-8 rounds more liberally which is great.

Also the now allowed hell to the kidneys is a good thing to punish lay-and-pray

Yeah and Dana just said something along the lines of " He didnt take what people thought he took ". Speculations on him returning much earlier than 2 years, Dana's words matter much more in this case ,considering he was super pissed off and didn't even want to talk to the guy after UFC 200

On another note McGregor vs Mayweather has completely fallen off which is good, considering McGregor wouldve gotten mauled

Conor went from being the first potential 2 title holder in the UFC to being stuck against Diaz in a possible trilogy with no title involved. Yeah he is selling PPV, but a win will mean jack shit imo. Its like if Lebron James said he wanted to be remembered as the GOAT but goes on and play matches against the Harlem Globetrotter instead of winning rings.

i think UFC split its events into money (WWE) fights that involves the more popular figures in MMA and title/ranked (real) fights.

money WWE fights are organized to sell. so it all could be bs. all drama. did watch the video where nate went to conor's presscon? drama! it's all scripted like the WWE. then there are the ranked/title real fights where it really matters.

but the fans want WWE so what can we do. even Woodley wants WWE. more money for him.

If Connor wins in a convincing fashion he would be an absolute idiot if he does a trilogy, he should fight for either the feather or the light weight championship

Regardless of what happens Conor will defend the featherweight title next.

pretty sure conor will do his title defense duties. he can still do the side show money stuff between title defenses tho.

imo:

Conor lose: He will defend against Aldo
Conor wins a close and really cool fight the fan loved: Trilogy
Conor wins in a convincing fashion: he will do some sort of crazy fight, like facing GSP or Alvarez

james9994: make note dont play against floofy, ;(

Dana said that Conor has to defend his title next or he has to give it up, and no way he does that unless he can't make the weight.

Conor also said that he has to take care of other business (featherweight title) after this fight regardless of what happens.

I agree if he loses he defends the featherweight title 100%, if he crushes he will probably look for a GSP/Alvarez crazy fight and vacate the featherweight title, in a close fight I dont know what he would do.

I dont think he cares much about the featherweight title, he can get that title fight whenver he wants and he was really struggling to make weight and he has been heavier for a while now

If he wins, he should be going for Alvarez for sure, Featherweight is bad for him healthwise and he can't go for a GSP fight without cementing a title, and GSP knows how to kill "bad boy" hype so ....

lucky331   . Aug 19 2016 11:14. Posts 1124

that conor throwing the bottle shows that deep inside he knows he's gonna lose or at least is still doubting a win despite his 300k camp.

traxamillion   United States. Aug 21 2016 01:32. Posts 10468

alvarez wouldn't be nearly as crazy a fight for conor as GSP. conor and alvaraz probably walk around the same weight and conor will outstrike alvarez imo

whamm!   Albania. Aug 21 2016 06:57. Posts 11625

damn alvarez might got out huntin takedowns and rasslefuck his way into a victory, i hope he fights vs conor like a man if they face each other
nice tdd defense by conor, improved a lot but Nate isn't really known for his wrestlin skills too
