There has always been this behavior that puzzles me in hand histories. Someone posts a questions, "What should my action be on this river?". A couple of microstakes and low stakes donks respond with a simple genius explanation, "check."

A couple more post "check because (factor which has little bearing on the situation)".

A highstakes, intelligent player posts a different action, "Shove all-in.. " with accompanying small breakdown of their range and what they expect to get value from.

Two more microdonks respond "check"

What drives you donks to reject a skilled player's input and suggest the opposite move without any explanation? When people ask for help with a hand history they don't just think so highly of random jokers' opinion that they want you to reply "check" like you are even remotely authoritative on the subject.

I dunno I don't mean to complain.. just a weird thing I see people doing all the time. I probably do it too.

I often see high stakes players comment with a single action-line as well "shove" when it's very obvious.

yah I don't mind when seriously good player gives a one liner/one word when it is an obvious action. I'm not saying everyone should explain every tiny post, expounding on simple concepts everytime they're in a hand discussion.. but people who are simply unqualified need to reconsider posting useless 1 word suggestions

if poker is dangerous to them i would rank sports betting as a Kodiak grizzly bear who smells blood after you just threw a javelin into his cub - RaiNKhAN

Problem is... how many people in this world are self-aware and totally unpretentious enough to realize that they are "simply unqualified?"

People like to be heard, even if they are completely ignorant about something. It's just part of being human =T

About two years I realized anything huhu says is with little to no thought, but I don't think it's a bad thing like you may. I have no problem with uncreative idiots giving their two cents. Also like sanai said, it's simply human nature...have you ever discussed anything poker related to friends? Everyone thinks they can do this job. The little respect everyone has for poker is one of the great things about this industry. It's the reason why games are still profitable in 2011.

The fallacy in Night's post is that because we "micro-stakes donks" - even though I play higher than you, and jyun88 plays higher than both of us according to his HH - said "check" means we are wrong. Would you have made this blog post if we just said "Shove" or "All-in" ?

The fact of the matter is you didn't like our answer and pav already claimed he saw no value from betting the river and I thought my very apparent "Yeah, I check" meant I was in agreement with his thought process. Maybe I'll draw an MS Paint picture next time to make it more obvious.

I wasn't picking on huhu or anyone specifically :O talking about in general it happens a lot (one word replies that aren't even funny Q_Q) and mostly serves to bolster postcounts :D

there are many good posters on lp

it's poker, there is rarely an absolute answer. and there are reasons why some people have green stars and others don't, and that's generally because their opinions on hand discussions should hold more weight while others could simply just be ignored.

Its time to stop thinking like a bitch and think smart like a poker player - ket

well your advice is wrong but i think he is bitching to the donk posting "check" AFTER me, daut, locoo and pooruser posted that this was a river shove, and i agree with him on that.

I agree with calling out fools but then again it is entirely up to you what kind of advice to take to heart. The thing i dislike most about these forums is someone discovering their penis and going spazztastic making a ton of threads/posts mostly about theirselves and every single new piece of information they come across. I know i called someone out for posting bullshit on a handhistory of a friend who casualy plays poker.

rofl. i dislike huhu as much as the next guy, but you thinking you are a better poster or player than him is hilarious. also love the way you end your post, as if you could know anything about poker still being profitable when you play micro stakes sngs. sorry bro but if you can't make a decent living from poker you shouldn't talk about its profitability. you wouldn't know anything about the state of the games because you play such scrub stakes and those will always be profitable.

fuck I should just sell some of my Pokemon cards, if no one stakes that is what I will have to do - lostaccount

Maybe I have no right to speak about the games state of profitability, but most of you have no other set of skills in life which means that wages decreasing from $150/hour to $30/hour over the course of 5 bad years in the economy isn't really shocking nor should be considered a bad thing. You're not wall street analysis even though most of you seem to think you have the exact same skill. Me staying at micro/low stakes for a few years had it's negatives and positives. My happiness decreases dramatically with the increase of risk i take on. The only thing you can hold against me is that I put short term health over my long term well being. That being said, I'm not some sicko. I've never claimed to be. Up until the last few months I was a mass tabling reg who understood the math decently and really wasn't looking to improve. To get back to night's original point, I find it annoying as fuck if someone like me starts writing advice and not explaining their thought process and then disagrees or ignores a green star's logic. That's why you don't find me stating a point unless I have a creative reason to.
