Are there any good casinos in New York City?
I'm gonna move to Manhattan in a couple months and I would like to know where are the best places to play up to 1kNL live...
Thanks

Teddy KGBs place, you wont find it in the yellow pages. If youre looking for high stakes, its the only place in town.

on a real note, I hear NYC is really strict on gambling, and most of the games are home games and invite only. If you really want to play those kind of stakes, why not drive a few hours to either foxwoods or atlantic city?

just did a quick search on 2+2. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/search.php?searchid=19216089

Teddy KGBs place... is it a safe place to play? Aren't there games in casinos? How can I get invited to play?

i heard of a guy who lost his entire roll on a fullhouse there. it made him become a delivery driver. eventually he got a loan from his professor and hit and ran for 2buyins. last i heard of him, he decided to make it rich at the WSOP. that was a few years back, no idea how he's doing now.

hmmm ok but what does this have to do with safety? I mean... can I play there and get out with my winnings no problem?

if you don't get staked by a loan shark and then go busto i think you'll be fine.

NYC doesn't have any casinos because of gambling laws. There is only empire city casino in yonkers which is at a racetrack, but they don't have any poker. Alternatives are turning stone casino which is in verona, NY, foxwoods in connecticut or the casinos in atlantic city which are a few hours away. There are underground games but I don't know how you find out about them, I wouldn't take the risk of playing in them in fear of them getting busted by the cops or robbed.

The NYC games play really big afaik, I know many games are uncapped and there are 25/50 tables with half a million dollars on there. One of the waiters at my hotel plays there (yes waiters make a shit ton of money in NYC). I could find out if you want but i dunno about any capped nl1ks
