My story is very similar, I also was antisocial in school and hated it, always a lowsy student (but I remember bullying smaller kids to pass the time, wich I regret now), also played SC and other strategy games all day and thought about it at school, dropped out of college and made a huge sum of money playing online.

However, my story is a bit different, as this year began my winrate dropped dramatically and as a result I've become unmotivated, as I'm forced to accept lower hourly rates. So I quit poker and went back to college (after playing 5 years fulltime).

Your bio is very motivating for sure, but it may send the wrong message to newcommers. You should definetly stress out the fact that you started around 2004 and at that time it was much easier to earn a starting bankroll and climb the tables. Today, if you are just starting, your competition is already 5 years ahead of you in terms of experience, and I think the chances of succeding become much much smaller as you have to overcome this gap. Two events occured in a very short period of time wich was the UIGEA law banning US players and then the world financial crisis wich made rich billionaire fish poorer and more risk-adverse. The pool of new fish entering the game has stabilized while the regulars are improving and cashing out money out of the system.

Dont you think this is true?

Very inspiring indeed, my life so far has been pretty much exactly the same, hell i moved from Sweden to Japan 2 months ago for the same reason, just trying to put life on hold i suppose in order to try and figure out what the fuck i'm gonna do. So as i was sitting here one day watching TSL i remembered that i signed up for pokerstrategy one year ago and decided to check it out again, suffice to say that i'm now very interested in starting poker but the problem is it's illigal as fuck in Japan LOL.
