Some guy I used to play a bit before gave me some HU action today. Funny thing was that he said he was sure I wasn't me. Well, when I first started playing him 2 years ago he was a 5/10 and 10/20 reg and I was just starting to take shots at NL1k. Considering how I'm the reg who plays NL1k and NL2k now and he's mostly playing lower, I'd say that I've probably change my play a little bit, yes.

As far as this month goes I'm breakevenish after 40k hands and about 25k€ under equity. If I keep putting in this volume I'll get like 10k in rakeback though so that's something. Might just start grinding mid stakes for a while for some sure profit since I'd feel a little bit stupid if I'd put in 80k hands a month and still lose money, heh.

I do love rake races. They makes me actually play as much as I should. This time I grind to get a UO-package for Prague, which will be sick fun. I had a blast last year and I assume it'll be as fun this year.

Other then that I've turned my days around. I sleep during the days and work out/play poker/read/etc during the nights. It's too warm for me to function during the day. I think my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandmother might've been unfaithful with a polar bear because I really can't stand heat.

So I've decided that I'll buy a bunch of new films this weekend. I don't do hookers and blow so some small vice in the form of a retarded DVD-shopaholicness is ok. I want some tips on films so just bring it. As reference I'll post a list of the films I've decided to search for to begin with:

Played a bunch of donkaments, close-to-bubbled in that MSOP-main event and finished 13 in one of the smaller sunday donkaments for a K or two. Also played a ton of cash, probably had more fish action then ever and managed to hit like 3 hands in 6 hours. Did some fun herocalls and a bunch of biggish bluffs to break even so I had a ton of fun despite running like crap. It's easier to appreciate these days when you're up a bit on the month.

Also think that I play fairly good now. My A-game in NL has gotten much, much better since I started playing it a lot again and I feel that my approach has gotten a bit more math-based or logic based or whatever rather then the feel-thingy I used to play by thanks to some comment some good players made a while back. My omaha game might be a little better then a while ago but not by much. This is probably pretty good since I've got a good math.

Sooner or later I'll win a donkament too. Anyone going to UO Prague, btw?

Good things:

Won money
Crushed 5/10 NL
Learned a lot - I feel my NL game might be back on pair with the best it's ever been.
Put in decent volume considering I spent the first week in Bulgaria and two weekends with my parents.

Bad things:
Didn't win as much money as I wanted
Got crushed in omaha
Did not play as I hoped.

Goals for July:

60k hands minimum, preferably mostly 5/10 NL.

Get better at poker again. Last month I studied the game for a few hours and learned a decent bit. I need to keep that up.

The 6 first months of 2010

I'm not playing as many hands that I had hoped for, but I'm up approximatly what I had hoped for. Well on my way to another 6 figure year (this time excluding rakeback) so if I keep this up it'll be my best year so far. I'm very, very happy with my results on 5/10, both PLO and NL, but unfortunatly I've lost a fair bit of money higher due to everything from bad luck, bad play and worse game selection. I think I'm getting the hang of some of what's wrong though, so I might get that to work out better soon.
