Microstakes Supernova
  Elite00, Jan 17 2010

I'm just a lowly silverstar right now playing NL25 putting in less than 20k hands per month, but I'm going to try and start putting in a lot more volume and never play out of my BR or in games that games that I'm not good at (sngs lol). I'm going to try and work on areas of my game that are def weak, which include bluffing, barreling, image awareness, getting thinner value, squeezing, bluff catching more, and tilting. Also staying focused and being aware of what is happening in hands, since I usually just afk autopilot through hands like i'm macroing in starcraft or something, often forgetting who the PFR was, if the pot is multiway, or if there is a shortstack in the hand or something.

Lately I have just been playing very mechanically and just putting in the minimum effort needed to eek out a mediocre winrate by just eating up fish and playing a very vanilla game vs regulars (3 betting light in obv spots, cbetting in good boards, raising cbets in obv spots), never really getting out of line or ever pushing the envelope. I often take lines that are safe and easy to play, even when I know I am sacrificing EV. For example; a reg opens UTG, and I'm in the UTG+1 with AA, instead of flatting I just 3 bet, knowing that it's so obvious I have KK+ here since I am ridic unbalanced in spots like this, but not caring because it is ridiculously easy to play AA in a 3 bet pot and I don't feel like dealing with sets and crap. I barely even use my HUD anymore since I'm just following a simple strategy I've made myself that produces winning, although weak results. I did the same thing when I played SC, just blindly used a conservative BO for every MU with zero adaptation or innovation, but who needs strategy when you have over 200 apm and way better mechanics than others at your level. I'll never get past the C ranks playing like this, but w/e I can beat most of my friends and win 90% of obs games on US east, so I really have no drive to get better than this. I mean, I'm playing 16 tables while I type this, probably unknowingly playing HU on a few of them and missing tons of +EV spots, but who gives a fuck, I'm up 3 BI because people throw money at you at microstakes like people throw games at you at the D rank on iccup.

Hopefully making myself achieve supernova at NL25 and below will help me develop a decent work ethic so I can start making decent progress. Money is a good motivator, but I think MORE money + fun is an even better one

HUsng players?
  Elite00, Sep 26 2009

Hey if anyone plays these and wants to discuss them sometime pm me/post here/message me on aim (my ID is Fr8M9rF). I've been playing the 6.25 turbos and am a slight winner over a small sample, but wouldn't be surprised if I was a losing player in the longrun. If you are significantly better than me then I could pay you or give you a % of my profts or something lol.

-Thanks

Profitability of HUSNGs?
  Elite00, Sep 08 2009

Hey LP, I was just wondering if anyone could comment on the profitability of these HUSNGs, and whether or not they would be good for an nl10/25 player to get into. I have been messing around at the $5 level and they seem to be full of bad players, but the variance seems so high and it is much harder to play multiple tables. I was wondering if down the line if these could be just as, if not more, profitable than the same level of 6max cash.

-Thanks

Goal for the next day or so
  Elite00, Jul 16 2009

Achieve one of the following:

1.Double my Bankroll
2.Lose my Bankroll
3.Fall asleep at my keyboard (many energy drinks + some dayquil to delay this)

I have 40 or so buyins right now for NL10, so hopefully when I'm done I'll have at least enough to play NL25 from now on.

June ez game
  Elite00, Jun 30 2009

slammed NL10 this month imo, I played enough hands to make 1201 VPPs and keep my silverstar (lol). I think it's time to try out NL25 this month. Hopefully it isn't much harder than NL10 and maybe I can get goldstar.

Debit card? Help with depositing?
  Elite00, Jan 11 2009

Hey, so I just got back to college and was planning on putting some money on my Pstars account, however, I'm a fucking retard and have nothing but a debit card with me here. Of course the fascist U.S. doesn't let me deposit with a debit card or use neteller. Does anyone know anyway to get money from a debit card onto PS?

If not, does anyone know if it's possible to do like a paypal money exchange for a transfer to Pstars? I'll send in freaking $1 increments if anyone wants (looking to get $100 on Pstars).

Bankroll scammed
  Elite00, Nov 02 2008

So I tried using a poker account fund transfer website( rrchips.com ) to transfer $100 from FTP to pokerstars. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE IT IS A SCAM.

Didn't work out so well and now I'm left with $2.51 on my Fulltilt account and nothing transferred to my pokerstars account. However, Fulltilt was able to recover $5 of mine though from the account, UltimateAce8. So I guess it's time try to rebuild at NL10 with like half of a buyin.

EDIT: DO NOT GO TO WEBSITE IT'S GAY PORN NOW!!
