Self Exclusion on FTP and Pstars ends this week so i'm pulling half my roll from UB and putting 250 into both Stars and FTP. Started on FTP today and managed to donk off $60 in 6.50 Turbo's (bubbled 4 won 1 Lost 5). Anyways slowly grinding NL10 at FTP back up to $500 ASAP so I can start playing NL25 again. Going to do the same with PStars when that exclusion ends on the 14th. The time away from the sites has made me hungry for the competition and I can't wait to get back on nice software again.
Rough start this week anyways sticking to my rules and not using more then the set percentage of my BR has been a challenge but i think it has made me a more patient player waiting for hand to come instead of trying to bully people random bluffs. I forget until I hit NL25+ i need to jut play my hand and not to bluff these people who have no idea that there is a fold button. I just need to remember the next time I play cards will be just as random 5 minutes from a bad beat or 5 hours from a bad beat. Stay focused the cards will come downswings happen but so do heaters.
So i've decided to play poker again after a good 3 month break from going busto. I've decided to follow Chris Fergusons Bankroll managament and it works well and makes sense to me. So the rules I have set for myself are.
ABC poker duh.
no more then 5% of BR in play at any given time.
no more then 2% of BR used for MTT entries per day.
at any given time a table reaches 10% of my bankroll I move to another table.
Started off with $100 and just grinding out the NL4 on cake poker.
So thanks to someone pointing me in the right direction and not just openly flaming the fish i've finally found grot's old guide to starting out aka "abc poker" and i see where alot of you say i've been playing stuff wrong. Anyways being a true degen at heart i've gone semi-busto on UB ($15) playing Single player BlackJack - damn you UB!. So i took a break read up on Grot guide deposited on Stars $50 and have been grinding out the NL2 tables 12 tabling FR basically playing like a robot learning when/what to play stuff and just playing 2-3k hand sessions not just hit and run luckboxing. After my session i'm doing 1 180 4.40 SNG to end my poker day. anyways up to 102 after 3 days of playing better poker and actually using bankroll management not jumping up to different limits underrolled. my grinding let me play in sundays flipament (cuz i'm a degen obv) and the weekly. It feels good to actually feel like i'm learning something instead of just being a total luckbox.
I hit 200 yesterday on stars and withdrew and moved over to UB to take advantage of the RB and deposit bonus. I've decided to just one table cuz multi tabling on UB makes it all over lap so i moved up a lvl to NL25 and am just doing 1 table.
