Yea I know, 4k break even session is standard but it just felt really full of variance. This always happens to me on weekends tho. I know I'm playing good (for the most part) but I'll occasionally get too fancy/spewy against the wrong players. The most retarded stuff tilts me too, like losing with sick combo draws vs tp no kicker or the one time of the night the lagtard 60/30 guy to my right shows up with AA against my YES QUEENS! Don't really have any hands to show right now cuz I'm tired (and lazy) as fuck... but I really felt it was necessary to make this motivatior

Sick days in poker
  night_front, Dec 20 2007

So after last night when I was convinced I play like shit (probably could improve a lot of this), I managed to have a very very sick run today. Today was the last 1.4k hands of the graph below, which is all of december at 100nl so far.

As you can see I ran better than I can ever remember. Don't think I've ever had +9bi in 1.4k hands.

Need some solid advice on my game
  night_front, Dec 13 2007

Ok so I have been a pretty marginal winner at 50nl 6max so far this month. I think I could make some small changes to be a lot more profitable. (One of these being spew control when I take beats)
PTStats for the month:

Today I was about to start my homework when I realized that I could be looking at PokerEV instead! I really haven't paid too much attention to this program since I downloaded it awhile back as a lot of people had been saying it was inaccurate.
When I went into the stats tab I noticed that I was a really big loser w/o showdown.

So with all that info, what am I likely doing wrong to be losing so much money on hands that I'm not even showing down? Am I being too nitty and folding too many hands that could be taken to showdown? Or is it my post flop aggression? I think I might be getting to aggressive post flop and trying to win too many hands.

Also, here is my Skalansky EV graph (I'm pretty sure this is what people said was inaccurate about the program, but here it is anyway). Made me pretty sad :'(

Any help will be appreciated, I'm going to spend some time now going through some hands and post them a little later. Perhaps I can find a trend throughout them that is leaking some money.

I spew so hard omfg
  night_front, Dec 08 2007

ffs i havent updated in awhile, but I've been playing some 50nl 6max on ftp (took a shot at 100 6max, but ran stupid as shit)
k so I got home from work and was like "DEF NOT PLAYING POKER, I R TOO TIRED!! GOING RIGHT TO BED!!@"

I end up starting a session about 15 min after getting home. standard

was playing decent, no real spews no big pots really and was just about even
then i ran into an overpair from a guy playing like 36/30 min 3 betting me from his BB -_-

then like 100 hands later I have to fold my semibluff and i just decide to go nuts at all my tables

not even thinking about it i c/r ai with K3 on K46 board... I end up being ahead of the guy who gets it in with just an oesd.... but he eZ rivers it
There was another hand but I dont remember it

i really don't feel like going through my hands to find them all since im too disgusted by my play to even open PT :/
maybe ill update with some later but for now i just needed to vent a bit

ffs if only i didnt spew id be at up at least 1k more this year -_-

later i get into another great spot induced by this guy. gotta assume knight is raising most pairs and any good ace here. i guess the shove was trying to get the idiot to stack off with Ax or any pair. pretty much, i just run amazingly bad.
