I've been losing since summer of this year, so I'm down to NL50 at the moment. It's okay though, since I got back from my Vegas trip I've been watching a lot of videos and I've been really inspired to play better. I came to the conclusion that I was playing formerly a break-even or very marginal losing/winning style mass tabling, and I want to fix it. I messed around with that idea that I may not be cut out for poker but blamed it on variance, but I'm ready to accept that I suck and that's the first step in order to become better. I've started by cutting down from 16 tabling to 9-12, which gives me plenty of time to think without that much down time. I feel like at 9 tables I'm able to be on my A game without sacrificing too many hands per hour, and at 12 I can play pretty close to my A game.
For 2011 I'm going to attempt to split my play between FTP and PS. I'm currently in my 12th or 13th month of Iron Man, and I'm clearing the $350 end of the year bonus and another $300 bonus that FTP accidentally gave me (I bought a $300 Iron Man bonus and I got shipped two of them).
On PS, I'm nothing. I want to try and get at least Supernova this year, just in case next year I climb up enough stakes to take a shot at Supernova Elite, this would be a good starter.
For NL50, I plan to try and play around 1500 hands a day at each site while 9-12 tabling. I believe that this will put me slightly ahead of pace for the Black Card and Supernova programs, which will be good. Best of luck everyone in 2011. I no longer want to be a rakeback pro. Fuck the past, here's a start to my future.
Also a shout out to Jolin@LP for his first attempt at SNE this year. Good luck bro, glad you've been able to take poker so far since our days donking it up at the penny tables.
Some first time Vegas questions... I'm going to be staying at the Mirage. I won't have that much cash on me, is it advisable to use ATMs to withdraw cash from my checking account? What casino has the best 1-2 game? Any other tips or advice for a first timer?
I got bored and signed up for a $3.30 PS STT (non-turbo)... I decided I would shove every single hand. I made it to HU vs an opponent who had about 1500 chips entering HU LOL.
On the hands highlighted blue, those are hands I won. I also wrote a number in picture 1 every time I knocked someone out. I realized after I that I couldn't have knocked out 8 people at the time (I would have won), so treat #4+5 as one knock out (I thought I knocked out two people but it was only one). So basically, every big pot you see me win in picture one is me knocking out a person who decided to call a shove preflop.
I'm still LOLing.

Last hand I lost obv, it was funny reading all the shit I got in chat from the fish. A couple of them stayed around til HU and challenged me to $300 HU or something, but I declined since I had friends coming over and I didn't have $300 on PS anyway. I still can't believe I cashed in 2nd simply by shoving every hand, it was funny reading all the whines while playing though.
I have registered to play in the PokerStars World Blogger Championship of Online Poker! The WBCOOP is a free online Poker tournament open to all Bloggers, so register on WBCOOP to play.
So I'm just playing about 12 tables of NL50 at Stars to clear a reload bonus I've had, which needs only 150 more VPP.
I'm like 2 hours in almost, and about to end my session. I mouse over one of the players to my direct left on some random table, and I notice it is listed he's in the same city as me. So I ask if he's from the same state, and he says yes.
Pretty cool. Then, he mentions where he lives, and it's in the exact same neighborhood I am. Then I start flipping out, and I said "Wow I live there too!" and shit. Turns out he lives on my street pretty much. Pretty crazy stuff, I asked around what age he was and he's about 17 years older than me, but he has a son that went to the elementary I went to.
What a crazy ass coincidence that I selected just the right table, moused over the right player, with him actually sitting there, and end up managing to live on my street.
Anyways Thanksgiving was today (Happy Thanksgiving everyone!) and I had awesome time spending Wednesday for dinner at my gf's and today I brought her to my family's Thanksgiving party. Was really fun and filling. Final exams are coming soon so after this weekend I probably should stop playing poker and other video/computer games, but should find time again during Christmas break after December 10th. Til then good luck everyone.
I'm in a streak of losing sessions, and it is really getting to me.
I'll just go ahead and rant some I guess. I went ahead and pulled out my graph from all hands played at NL100 filtered to when I wasn't donking off in heads up or being an idiot short stack, just my normal true 6-max game.
It really puts things into perspective for me that even though I'm in the middle of losing right now, I am still a winner and that comforts me a little.
I am also moving out to an apartment this weekend, hopefully it will bring me to a peace of mind or just relax me getting away from the parents.
