200nl shot
  domyouji, Dec 24 2009

Since I have 100BI I'm starting to take shots at 200nl. So far it's going pretty well and I'm still adjusting to the 200 dynamics. Yesterday I was still getting used to the bet sizing and mixed in some 100nl tables cause I was stupid. Today I played all 200nl tables instead

few things I noticed, shortstacks are retarded at this level, alot more preflop aggression at this level, and people are just more aggro in general and likes to bet compared to check like those damn nits on 100nl. I guess I'll need to cut down on some tables because I haven't really developed good reads or know the players of 200 as well as I know 100 where I'm just comfortable enough to know whats going on.

Anyway today ran into shitload of coolers (ran into 4 4ofkinds which is wtf)and made alot of -ev bluffs. I'm playing my retarded lag game from the get go which is stupid. I see same thing happening when I started 100nl, as I didn't really know what I was doing playing so many tables and have swingy days all around.

Also anyone who plays 200 feel free to drop me msg if you wanna discuss hands/general play , happy holidays bitches

plans for next year (SNE+live)
  domyouji, Dec 09 2009

Many of you don't know who I am on lp because I am barely active, but I do check this weekly to read blogs and stuff so I know alot of you alrdy. I still have 1 semester of school left until graduation, so gonna tough that out and get a degree (4 years of uselessness). I recently turned 21 so I'm going to AC or maybe foxwoods to play some live games on weekends if they are profitable (if anyone has experiences in either places drop a msg in quirks you found or w/e). Main goal is to play to get SNE next year assuming everything goes well with legislation. I don't really know if I should play 100 or 200nl for the entire year because I don't know how well I will do in 200 as I have never tried it and 100 is just grinding with other nits with occasional fish which can be tiring sometimes. Although 100nl seems to be safer bet as I won't go busto and atleast probably will breakeven at worst for entire year. Right now I'm sitting with a little over 20k so yea opinions are welcomed.

stupid downswings
  domyouji, May 25 2009

So I pretty much doubled my roll since last week which is pretty cool but today had a really bad session where no hands were paying off. These kind of days can be devastating to the psyche and your mind set. I took a break and came back at night and vola after some adjustments was able to win most of it back thank god. I was blaming myself for not stopping after being up 200 and instead down 1350 and it was hella stressful. Also had 4bi on 1 table and lost it all to a donk who basically calls every street and got a gutshot for a straight on the river.

Also hit this a while ago

gonna play another month of 100nl and take whatever i make to ftp probably due to rakeback
