I cashed out a little over 10k overtime in the last few months and my online roll is getting too light for the first time in a while ($4400). I usually keep around $8k online, but I took a little risk this month and cashed out down to ~$6500. Bad timing.
Just to show it isn't me going on severe -EV monkey tilt playstyle or anything, I pinpointed most of the run bad here:
I'd prefer not to drop down for a bunch of reasons, but mostly because I've been at the limit for a while and am pretty confident that I have a good winrate, and I also have a lot of notes and reads written down on the regs that I don't for NL100. I also read from some thread on 2+2 that you can get 60/40 stakes if you're likely to be +EV. Not sure how likely that is to happen but that would be nice.
I don't think I'll need this unless I have two more bad sessions (I have money offline and in other things like my Airsoft business, but I really don't want to take away from that), but if it's something that interests you let me know. It's probably good to have this sort of contact information anyway in case of emergencies.

So poker has been going great, but I've also been spending time on my new website. Jason and I started up an airsoft gun and equipment store not too long ago at www.airsoftgunsnow.com. It's been looking pretty promising, especially since Jason's really good at eBay stuff, and I've been doing tons of research on SEO.
So here's where you guys come in. The site that hosts our store is BigCommerce, and they recently sent out a contest for a $35,000 package here: http://www.bigcommerce.com/contest.php
Basically, you have to be a small business and make a one minute video of what you sell and why you like BigCommerce and what winning would do for you etc. Obv we insta-snapcalled and made a video.
Five (5) videos will be selected by judges to enter the final round. Judges will select five finalists based primarily on the following criteria: (1) creativity, (2) coherence of message, (3) potential for company growth, (4) inspiring story. Number of views for each video on YouTube will factor into the judges' decision; Contestants are encouraged to promote their video to increase views.
So basically, if you guys could visit our cheesy little youtube video a few times (it's way better than the others though) and up the view count we'd really appreciate it. Guidelines don't say anything about comments or ratings, but a positive comment couldn't hurt at all either . I'm not sure if you have to go to the actual link for the view to count. If you do go to the actual link, refresh a few times while you're at it
The youtube video link is here:
Feel free to lol at real life edzwoo desperately trying to sell his site. Thanks guys.
For those of you that don't know, I've been busy working on my airsoft gun site with Jas0n at http://www.airsoftgunsnow.com/, so I've been investing a lot of my time doing that. I can't really explain the shorter sessions though. I guess I'm just not cut out to ride the heaters.
Not sure what else to talk about, so I guess I'll leave it at that.

Played under 90 hands and lost almost 4 bi. Will play again tomorrow.
I was on the heater of my life for a bit, but of course it slowly started leveling off. Also, I played 30688 hands of NL200 and won $6670.80 so no []5ptbb/100 for you nitpickers . My sessions aren't labeled as rush poker, but that's because I'm using FullTilt's hand history tool after every session since my client crashes once every 20 minutes and loses some hands. HEM doesn't list these imported hands as rush so I just delete all my hands and re-import them every session.
I've definitely started changing how I play, and I think that has mostly to do with the fact that FTP (or maybe just rush poker) seems to be much more aggressive than back when I played on Stars. A lot of lines where I would just insta-fold have become more trivial calls, and I'm definitely a lot more optimistic in post flop spots. One mindset that I've changed is I've stopped looking at some of my hands and robotically categorizing them e.g. "this is a midpair, I call his cbet". Rather, I will always keep in the back of my mind that any midpair can also be 5 outs to a very disguised hand (trips and random two pair), which gives me much more of a reason to call.
One of the difficult things that I've started to be less shy about are spots where I have to determine my FE against a polarized range. The hardest thing is when you run into the top of your opponent's range in a spot where you believe to have a lot of FE, but you start second guessing yourself simply because he had the hand (5bet shove against a wide 4bettor, he shows up with aces, maybe he just always had aces). But when I look back to all the spots where I decided to close my eyes and shove, I seem to be profiting. It's just very easy to be losing in a session and get faced in a polarized spot where you should make a stand, but then not having the heart to do it.
Anyway, enough rambling. This month was awesome, and hopefully next month I'll run even hotter .
