Advice or coach plz
  Ezekiell, May 28 2008

Today i toke my 3rd shot to NL100. I play solid poker, dont tilt, but somehow, i always get smashed. I crush NL50 @ 9BB/100, but somehow, i just cant win on NL100. I get coolered, bad beated all day. 2 days @ NL50 recovering, 1 day taking a shot, 2 days recovering, and it goes on and on and on.

Do you guys have any specific advice on moving up? Is there something i just dont recognize on NL100? I dont feel i play bad, PT shows i dont play bad, yet i lose.

I think i have some huge leaks in my game, which i dont aware of. This can be one explanation. Therefore, im thinking about getting a coach. Does it worth it? If so, who would be a good coach in my case? For how much? I'm absolutely clueless about this coaching thing, any advice is appreciated.

I include the pt stats, if anyone can post any advice, i will be really grateful!

Thx guys, gl all!

run good -> bad beat, bad beat. rebuild, run good -> bad beat, bad beat. i guess nothing more to say i'm happy i could finish in the green, but this was exhausting. i swear, NL100 has more donks than any limit.

what a sick day
  Ezekiell, May 19 2008

I woke up with a bad mood. Dunno why, my gf slept with me, we had a great night, everything was fine, but i just wanted to kill myself. Emo feelings 4tw!
Anyway, i started my forenoon session. A friend of mine asked me to let him watch as i play, and give him a "lesson". I dont think i'm good enough to do this, but it seemed to be fun, so whatever, ok. It started well, i teached him some basics, and made some really good plays, inducing bluffs, and valuebetting.

But after 360 hands, the sickest downswing came. I couldn't win a pot, every single one of my made hands run into monsters. The best example is this:

And to make things worse, here is the guy to my left, watching me as i play, and as i get bashed. Great. I stopped @ -4bi, when i hit my stop loss. Fuck.

I had a long break, we went out w my girlfriend to eat something, i helped her to buy his first laptop, installed Vista /obv went with a lot of problems, why not ffs/, got home, and i decided to play till i get even.

And this session was the opposite of the prevorious: i got great cards, lot of donks, my hands held up. Now i'm in the green /slightly, but who cares/, and it's a great feeling! I guess i had enough of poker today, so i close this day, and tomorrow, i'll do better!

Biggest pot of the day, also the last one:

The only bad thing is, that i realized: if i lose, i get a bad feeling, and a bit depressed, angrier... I have to get rid of this, poker can't interfere with my personal life! So today, i learned this, and i will never let this happen again!

Here is the graph to see what i were talking about:

gl all, have a nice day!

NL100 first shot - wow!
  Ezekiell, May 18 2008

Today morning i decided to take a shot @ NL100 w 20 buyins. I always use this style to move up. Well, it went reeeeeeally good! I dunno, if i have a sick heater in the last 30k hands, or i just learned how to play good, solid poker /probably both/, but May is like heaven now! Maybe cuz i've born in this month

The first stats+graph of NL100:

I had KK vs AA 2 times, and a set over set as u can see /obv where /, and i started the session without confidence, but it worked out well!

I'll log an other session this evening, and update after it.

gl all!

update: 800 hands, won 50 dollars, but on my last hand, i lost 1.5 buyins. sigh. whatever, this was a good day

Soon NL100 hopefully
  Ezekiell, May 17 2008

NL50 is going great! I had some swings, but generally, all's good! 6max is really fun, i enjoy playing. I don't think any of the regulars has an edge on me. My roll is very healthy, and soon i'll be taking my 1st shot @ NL100. Just a few more buyins...
Pics or it didnt happen obv:

My last 3 days:

Overall NL50 stats:

And the graph:

I gave one of my friend 50 bucks to play NL2 as a stake 2 days ago. That worked out well too, he's @ 180$ now, so some cash will flow back to me in few days

ADVICE pls!
I want to buy a new monitor. I have some options:
- cash out ~350 to buy a 22" HansG /generally Samsung, but in a different name/
- buy a 22" Samsung from the FPP store for 40k FPP
- buy cash bonuses from FPP, then cash out

What do you think, which would be the best?

gl all!

errr... shit
  Ezekiell, May 14 2008

"Fuck you all, fuck this world, fuck everything you stand for!" - Slipknot

Fuck poker too.

Okay, no big deal, i lost 4 buyins today, worst day ever, np. But in 340 hands FFS! 3 set over sets, flopped nutflush vs rivered full, and my favourite: flopped straight vs bottom pair. Ofc till river, he hits his full. Only 4 buyins, cuz i hit my stop loss, i bet if i would have continued playing, i'd have went busto in 3-4 hours :D

So this was brutal. BUT i understand, sometimes good, sometimes bad. I ran really good in the last 2 weeks, well, this had to come I'll recover in 2 days, i swear At least i hope

I'm going to take a day off, relax a bit, watch some movies, play some tennis, whatever, just get away from poker

gl all!

6max progression
  Ezekiell, May 13 2008

I started 6max 2 weeks ago. I had to realize, fullring is not profitable for me, it didnt fit my playing style. So i switched, watched a lot of videos /grinderschool subscription 4tw/, learned a lot /from books/, but mostly from here. U guys are fantastic, i really appreciate the help i got in PM's, on msn. U know who u are, thank you!

Todays session was great, NL50 is going good, and i have improved a lot. Here are the stats, and the graph from the last 2 weeks:

I'm running good, not godly, but i have no complaints The bad beats are evening out, and finally, i can avoid the situations, where i'm beat. I mean, i can fold AA in a reraise pot when the fucker hits his set, fold lower straigts, blabla... The biggest leak was this in my game, i couldn't let great hands go. A RL friend helped in this, thank you too /i know u dont read this shit, whatever /

So thins are great! I almost cleared a 50$ bonus, so my roll is ~1500$ now. My plan is to play NL50 till end of May, cuz i will cash out a bit to buy a new 24" monitor /it about ~360$ here/. When i hit 2200-2300, i'll take a shot to NL100!

Now i'm going to sleep a bit, cuz im fucking tired... A friend of mine calls me at 2AM, when i just finished my session. He said, he's in deep shit. What the...? He had to write a puzzle solving program in JAVA till 7AM, with 3 different solving algorythms /if anyone interrested: backtrack, AAsterik, Widthsearch/ The guy helped me a lot when i was in hole, and ofc he paid for me to do it. I finished the program at 6:40, he got an A on it, so i'm like shit. Havent slept in 34 hours, so i will pass out /its 4:41PM here/. Hopefully, i'll be able to do an other session in the evening.

gl guys, see you at the tables!

I had one major mistake, i couldn't let KK go in a reraised pot, when my opponent did hit his set of 2's /lol/ on a 8 high board, but that happens sometimes, no big deal.

The sample size is tiny, but i don't feel much difference between NL25 and NL50, so i hope i'll be a decent winner here too.

Wish me luck, gl you too!
